A member made a very creative Cherry Breaker promotional poster

The upcoming Cherry- Breaker HHH run will soon be upon us and the planning is going wonderfully. In the past these events have attracted close to 100 people many of whom visit from overseas specifically for this event. For a catch-up, the Cherry Breaker is the longest run of the year for the women-only Hash House Harriers chapter here in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

They have been working hard trying to get the word out because since so much goes into planning these things it would be nice if a few people actually turned up for the thing. I don't know which Hasher actually made this advert that will soon be hitting social media, but I think they did a pretty darn good job.

In case anyone wants to get critical of our graphic design capabilities I want everyone to understand that although we are a group of ex-professionals from a wide array of backgrounds, most of us are older and therefore, technology isn't really our thing. Trust me when I say that compared to our other adverts that we have done in the past, this one is much much better. I mean they even spelled everything correctly and that is a rarity in Thailand even when native speakers are involved.

The event will likely be around a half-marathon and it will take place in a jungle environment with many safety stops or stops to drink a beer if you want full awards. There are also multiple bail out points for people that can't handle it all. You really should try to do the entire thing though because it is quite an experience to end up all the way to the finish line with the handful of people that are there.

For now there are no men allowed to participate but if there are some spots remaining near the date of the event, it will be opened up, upon approval by the lady-folk, that a few men will be allowed to go along. Don't count on it though because this is one of the most popular events of the year. Full details are available on our official website
