My ideal wallet

in #wallet7 years ago

Just recently the total market cap of all cryptocurrencies reached an all time high of $700 million, which shows more people or corporations are delving into it, with the likes of Facebook investor Peter Thiel investing millions in bitcoin.
But before one considers getting into the crypto world , one of the first major things to consider is the wallet. As you all know a wallet is where store your money or should I say coin/token. But what are the main attribute of a good wallet, Is it secure enough to hold your coins?, Is it an exchange wallet and What are the trading fee?...though some people don't support leaving your coins/token in an exchange because it's a likely target for hackers, Does it have a large cache of coins/token?...so that I will be able to trade in multiple coins to avoid signing up for 3 or 4 accounts just to get a coin and at the end of the day forget the password.
All this are some of the questions that comes to mind when choosing a wallet. So I will be listing a few features of how my ideal wallet should look like and some token that possess each of these features.

Features of my ideal wallet

1. private key

My ideal wallet should have a private cause I want to be in control of my funds examples : myetherwallet, blockchain.info

2. Have a decentralized exchange using atomic swap

Though it has been advised not to leave your funds in an exchange. Exchanging between two currencies and then paying a commissions seems to be the order of the day. I would prefer exchanges that use atomic swaps or share a percentage of fee that they get with token holders.
Using atomic swaps there is little or no commission which means what ever amount of bitcoin you put in, you get the equivalent amount of litecoin, examples exchanges that use atomic swaps: changelly, shapeshift, komodo(still in works) and altcoin.io. And examples of exchange that offer a percentage to token holders are kucoin, Coss.

3. Hybrid wallet

As I stated before I don't want to go through the stress of having to sign up for 3 or 4 accounts just to get a token. My ideal wallet should have all crypto currencies including etherreum based tokens(ERC20). Examples of wallet is eidoo.

4. Conduct icos

This is one feature I rarely see in a wallet, that is participating in icos right from your wallet. Eidoo is the only wallet so far to have this feature also called the ico engine.

5. Debit/Credit card

This makes payment easier without having to do with your phone. One might decide to leave his/her phone or laptop somewhere, having a credit/debit card just comes in handy. Example is centra.

6.Transaction speed

Having a backlog of unprocessed transactions can be tiring and time wasteful.
So what is your ideal wallet?...if you know of any wallet that possess all of the above features please comment it down in the section below and please don't forget to upvote
