in #travel7 years ago

It was at saptember of 2014, I just buy my first car TOYOTA LEVIN (!!!check link!!!)

We went today to Tarbagatai, to the Semey land, where the Old Believers live here, exiled here under Catherine II. The purpose of the trip was to visit the museum, assembled by the local priest for 30 years.

The road to Tarbagatai. A local landmark, a sacred place called Lion's Hill, or a Sleeping Lion, an image that is guessed in outlines.

One of the first exhibits (bones and fossils did not shoot). A barrel of machine oil, it has a very shaggy age.

Chinese silk (times of the Silk Road). Straight from caravan.

Local game (wilde animals for hunting. I don't know how it on english, sorry)

Incuse decorated wooden chests brought with them during the time of migration from the western part.

Royal samovar (it's device for boiling water, for tea). Like a kettle. It works on wood. Inside of it small  wood burning stove. It 300 years old. But we still use it, when on the rest at nature. Not everybody. Just some.

A huge copper vat, in which soups were cooked for the whole big family. Made in times of Catherine II in St. Petersburg. In those times same vats was very  rare, because low tecnology of those times. Hard to made. It was weeeery expensive.

Handmade scales. Sensitivity 0.5 gr. (Work today), although they were used for weighing bags of flour. (start works  if you put a small coin)

Road back. On the top photo All the same Sleeping lion. And the river Selenga (below).
