Venice through my eyes:)

in #travel8 years ago (edited)

Visit to Venice became unforgettable for me! It’s a very unusual city. Everybody can recognize it on the postcard or in the films even if he has never been to Italy. Some of my friends told me they didn’t like Venice because of smell of the water… I didn’t face with it. Maybe it because I was there in February and they in July. I heard that the best time for visiting Venice is late Autumn. Any way I’d like to be there again.

I came to Venice in February to see the carnival and to see the place where Casanova was born and very famous:) The atmosphere was amazing! Many people in unique costumes walking all over the streets! The scenery is real – no fake:) They don’t mind if you take a picture of them. They smile and pose:)

Can you image they sew their costumes themselves approximately one year and try on only once?

This handsome man I will never forget;) He was standing on the balcony… so serious, so magnificent and powerful. Sometimes he waved his hand to the people, but never smile… It’s was very artistic. Everybody liked it and it was so easy to take a picture of him =)

There was the only one problem – the number of people on the streets. There were So many people and so many cameras! It was so hard to take a picture! Just for information – if you’re not fan of costumes, you’d better choose another time. The time of carnival differs very year. You can check the dates on http://www.carnevale.venezia.it/

I’m sorry I had no enough money and time for shopping and Murano Glass factory. The shop’s windows hypnotized me… Everything was so extraordinary, beautiful and expensive… I’m also a big fan of Murano glass. I’m very interested in how to make glass things. These are two things I dream to do;)

The one mustdo thing is to ride on the gondola and I did it! This was rather nice, but the gondolier didn’t sing…We paid for the tickets only and for his songs you should pay extra)))

Venice floods mainly in November and December. Scientists predict that by 2028 the city will be completely flooded and it’s so sad.

Dear friends! I advise everybody to visit Venice. It’s a huge museum of history and culture where everything is real and very beautiful.
