Egypt | Hurghada | Spectacular Coral Reefs and Brightly Colored Fish

in #travel7 years ago

Hello everyone. I recently wrote a post about my first trip to Africa and because I fell in love with the wonderful places this continent offers, we decided to go back to visit more. I've always dreamt about visiting Egypt.

This North African country is a land of profound majesty and mystery, with some of the most enduring historical monuments of the world. Egypt is famous for the Pyramids of Giza which are some of the largest creations ever built and for the Valley of the Kings which has underground tombs holding the treasure of the pharaohs. When we hear the word Egypt we always think about pyramids, pharaohs, mummies, tombs and treasures. But this country offers much more. Egypt’s landscapes are endlessly fascinating. Traveling in Egypt offers an extraordinary experience. There are so many things to say about this country that I will take it step by step to share with you all my wonderful memories of this trip.

We decided to go on a trip in Hurghada, which is the biggest city on the Red Sea, where the sun shines every day. The resort stretches over a distance of about 40 kilometers along the seashore. Its sparkling sandy beaches, majestic deserts and superb climate makes it a perfect destination for history lovers and adventure seekers. The city is famous for its magnificent underwater garden and mesmerizing coral reefs that are considered one of the best in the world. Through snorkeling or diving activities an extensive variety of underwater species and reefs can be witnessed. Hurghada is the destination that will show you new ways of enjoying undersea views.

This part of Egypt has large-scale modern resorts with high-end hotels with all inclusive packages. Most of the hotels are on the sea shore with their own pool and private beach.

We stayed at The Jasmine Palace Resort which is a 5 stars resort with 690 rooms and suites. From the arrival I was surprised by the beauty, size and architecture of the hotel. I instantly felt like in a fairytale. Only the magic carpet was missing. The resort offers all-inclusive accommodation. Each room has views of the pool or garden. Various sports activities such as aerobics, beach volleyball and tennis tables are organized at the hotel.
There are also daily animation programs and evening entertainment.

The Jasmine Palace Resort has a private sandy beach at the Red Sea where we enjoyed breathless sunsets and fantastic views to the desert, mountains and the turquoise waters.

It was lunch time for this eagle. If you look closely a fish was caught in his claws.

The hotel has restaurants and bars with a choice of cuisines ranging from Egyptian, Italian, Chinese, Seafood and Indian cuisine. The food in Egypt is unique and tasty. I noticed a lot of cinnamon in many dishes. We tried some unique Egyptian dishes as the national dish Koshari, which is a mixture of rice, pasta, lentils, and chickpeas, topped with onion and a tomato sauce.

One of the things I love to do while traveling is to watch sunsets. When the brightness of the midday passes, after we enjoyed the rays of the sun and felt the hot sand on the soles is the moment of sunset. With an indescribable magic, slowly and spectacular, the outside heat turns into coolness, the sun fades and quietly retreats beyond the horizon. Hurghada is one of the places to capture the beautiful mix of colors lighting up the sky, of a breathtaking sunset.

Hurghada offers a variety of activities. Some water sports that you can do are windsurfing, kitesurfing and waterskiing.

The fantastic coral reefs in the Red Sea make the snorkeling and diving is one of the main activities in Hurghada. In the Red Sea are some of the most beautiful coral barriers in the world, which constitute the habitat of hundreds of tropical fish species.

I usually don’t do this, but because they are interesting, I will share with you some of the statistical data I have read. More than 1200 invertebrate species live in the Red Sea and over 200 species of soft or hard corals. 10% of the marine species here are not found anywhere in the world. At the same time, there are 42 species of deep-sea fish in the Red Sea.

We've taken many pictures underwater. Here's a selection of pictures, of incredibly beautiful coral reefs where you can see a variety of brightly colored fish.

I liked the time we spent in Egypt so much that I didn't want it to end. In the future, we want to go on a Mediterranean cruise that includes visiting the pyramids.

With love,

After seeing your pictures I can see some jealousy in me lol.
You know what, seeing th sunset is my favourite part too and if you are on a beach at that time then there is nothing equivelence to this.

Thank you @suf1an. I always said, both sunrise and sunset sends you vibrations that you can only feel when you watch it live.
