Timeless Traveling: Amsterdam, Netherlands

in #travel7 years ago

Hi Steem Friends :

Today I wanted to share with you my travels to Amsterdam. Amsterdam hands down is one of my favorite places to visit. I've been several times and every time I go I fall more and more in love with the city.

So what's so special about Amsterdam besides being 4/20 friendly?

Can you tell I was scared? Lol . This is why I do things inspite of being fearful because this was one of the best tours ever. I recommend anyone who goes to Amsterdam to tour the city via boat. It's an amazing experience.

2.The transportation

I've done some traveling in my short time on this beautiful earth and there aren't too many places that have easy transportation from the airport to the city center. It is extremely easy to get around in Amsterdam. Whether you take a train, tram, or bike through the city , everything is accessible. I recommend biking of course but I am a bit biased.

Fun Fact: I created my 1st business renting bikes in NYC because I was so inspired by the biking system in Amsterdam.

Fun Fact 2: Watch out for the trams , they will hit you.

3.The Culture

Amsterdam is a very laid back city. People tend to do their own thing without the worries of other judgements or concerns. Socializing with friends and families or taking time out during the day to unwind seems like the norm as it should be.

Overall my experiences in Amsterdam have been nothing short of amazing. In another post I'll discuss the scenes of the Red Light District and the openness of sexuality there vs the States.

Side Bar:
One of the few things I tend to struggle with in Amsterdam is great food. Most places I've been were good but not great. I am more than open to suggestions from any foodies who live there or have traveled there. Please share:)

I hope you enjoyed this post.

Hello Jjottey15,
I am @digital-gypsy - nice to meet you !

Do you use @booster ?

I just started a discussion on "do we need more control or regulation on businesses on steemit" ?!
On the basis of my experience with @booster i would love to have a discussion on that topic and would be happy you give me your opinion about !

P.S. I don't need an upvote, but hope in a fruitfull discussion as I think that is an important topic
Take care Jjottey15
