RE: Motorcycle Travel Series by @velimir 'The Wire That Small Minds Love' (Part #246)

Nice post @velimir.
I saw this on aljazeera sometime last year, but i didn't follow up on it. But your post spurred me to read about it more seeing that those wires that they said was temporal is becoming permanent. But they were all one before, Croatia, slovenia, Bosnia basically, this is so complicated that i'll just say - brothers that were once united and that acted normal, then wars wars wars and then they got into a fight, and they now consider themselves completely different from each other and they mostly can’t stand each other.
The thing is no wire can stop people or anyone from finding their way. It was really not necessary. Look how much money was wasted on those wires.
For the slovenians there,i just hope they were compensated for the steel wires that was forgotten on that fence after the whole migration issue ended.
I even heard then that slovenia said that the reason for the steel wiring was for the sole purpose of redirection, but i never knew it was still there tilli read this post.
But seriously that whole stunt by slovenia was not necessary.
If i may ask @velimir, how does the wires hurt wild life, because aside from the first picture, there isn't any other picture that shows fallen wires.
If the wires are fallen, then it must be a danger to people and their animals. Because the grasses there would have covered some of the wires and that is danger zone. I seriously pity the animals really, especially while they are running or even playing, they would be ignorant of the potential threat. What about children that would go near that river in the pic.
This is totally disastrous because just like you said, the fence has not stopped refugees from crossing into Slovenia, what the hell is the point.
The thing about politics is that the people are the ones that get to suffer the consequences of the cowardice of their leaders. The same thing that happens even during war, the soldiers lives' are the ones on the line, not the dictator or so called leader that doesn't want to trade his ego for anything. Most wars we see today are a product of someone's ego coming first before the lives of their citizens. I just hope those slovenian citizens demand for good governance.
Thanks for this post. Like you said, its not a joke. 👍👍
