Magic Kingdom - Part 1

in #travel7 years ago

If I had to pick which park I liked the most, it would probably have to be Magic Kingdom. I had a lot of fun here. Of course there is plenty to do, between rides and meeting different characters.

Our day started out by riding the ferry to get to Magic Kingdom itself. You’re also able to take the monorail but there was a longer wait for that. I loved walking down Main St USA, going through all the shops and just looking around. I was only in there for about 5 minutes before I was buying things already. Lol

After browsing and shopping around in the shops we made our way to the “Be Our Guest” restaurant for our lunch reservation. There were three rooms that you could pick from to sit in. We chose the main room, but there is a room there that is meant to reflect the room that the beast keeps the rose in.

I liked the room below with the rotating figure of Belle and the Beast.

As we were leaving they had this really pretty stained glass area.

After eating we headed to Adventureland by the Walt Disney World Railroad. But not before stopping at Gaston's Tarvern!

And here is our train that we took to get to Adventureland! This train actually goes around the whole of Magic Kingdom and stops in the three different areas. It's a nice way to be able to get off of your feet for a little bit.

Now for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride! This is one of the rides that I wanted to ride when we came here. But first we did a little hunt called "A Pirate's Adventure - Treasures of the Seven Seas". There are four hunts that you do. When you start it tells you which map you will need and where to start. It sends you around Adventureland and it was really fun to do, and it's partly interactive. You also receive these little souvenir cards after completing each map as well as a fifth card for doing all maps. This is great for the kids as well as adults. I'll share a tiny secret, If you complete two of the maps you get fast passes for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. And if you do two more to complete all four, they may give you more fast passes. :)

We enjoyed a little show called “Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Tutorial”. I was very entertaining to watch and pretty funny. Was fun to see the kids have fun participating!

We later did the “Jungle Cruise” ride. Essentially it is a boat ride adventure through the “dangerous” rivers in Africa, Asia, and S. America.

We made our way back towards Cinderella’s Castle to watch the lighting ceremony. I’ve forgotten what the name of it is, but I will update this post when I find out what it was.

Because I like The Little Mermaid so much, we did a ride this time also showing a quick version of the movie.

After this ride we went and did the Haunted Mansion ride. I wish I was able to show some pictures, but it is s very dark ride. It was really cool with the effects they had in it.

Now that our first day at Magic Kingdom was coming to an end. What best way to end the night but with some fireworks!

I hope you enjoyed this day at Magic Kingdom. Have you been there? What are some of your favorite things to do there? I've got a couple more pictures here to share with you. :)

a tiring and fun adventure

I definitely agree on tiring and fun! I was clocking in on average 11 miles a day through my fitbit at Disney! lol I'd do it again though. :)
