Wireless power transfer and its important role in the future of mankind

in #technology7 years ago (edited)

Wireless power transfer, it's a process of transmitting an electrical power from a particular source into a tuned receiver, meaning that you can transmit a power without any use of wire or any sort of direct contact, from end to end devices.

This technology has been widely used in today's modern world, and many different types of technology have been using it. One of the good example, is those cell phone that supports wireless charging, which is capable of recharging itself without any use of a wire, but of course with a present of the wireless power transmitter. The electronic car and toothbrush, that can also be charged through wireless. Those are some of those important discoveries and applications of this wireless power transfer.

Nikola Tesla is my most favorite inventor, engineer, physicist and contributor to the history of mankind's modern technology, he is the man behind every household (AC) electricity supply system, without him, we will never have an AC electricity, that power up those gadgets and appliances. He is also the man behind the idea of wireless power transfer, called Tesla coils, where he was able to transferred an electricity over a long distance in a wireless manner. The purpose of his study is to maximize the efficiency of power transfer, since those wires and cables can dissipate a small portion of power thru their resistances, in terms of heat, and this lose might multiply as we use more length of it. It can also enable us to transfer a power into anywhere around the globe, even in some of those remote areas, where they don't still have an electricity access, and we are talking here about AC power, which has a huge amount of voltage and current.

I also did this wireless power transfer technology, during my final year in my BS Electronics Engineering course, and I used an inductive coupling technology, which has a low to mid range of wireless power transfer, and in my version of it, I used a solar panel as my source of free electricity, then stored it into a battery, before transferring in a wireless manner. I also used my own cellphone as a wireless power receiver, so it can wirelessly charge itself. Yes, we can modify any types of devices and make them capable of wireless power receiving or charging. I will try to make a video tutorial and share my step by step methods on how to do it, later. I will also going to provide the list of materials we are going to use for it, as well as my schematic of it.

This technology is still being studied until today, but there are some big industries, who have been already using it, but their technology isn't that ideal as how Tesla did.

Nice, indeed this is very helpful. I'm excited to see your tutorial. My fiance is an electrical engr and I will ask him to do that as well.

sounds good! I'm sire that his will going to be more fun and interesting

your post is very good my friends

Thanks for using the @postdoctor service!

very informative. I am also thankful to Nicholas Tesla for inventing many things that makes our life comfortable and easier.

I appreciate your writing dear

Two thumbs up for the very informative blog. thanks for sharing this information here in steemit. its quite helpful and well describe. hoping to read more of your blogs when it comes to technology and electronics. keep steeming. done upvoting.

tutorial na yan master. hehehe

sometimes wireless acts up lol like my wireless telephone hayss I forgot to buy a new one

Galing sir @wagun001! Engineer ka pala hehe
