Facebook Indonesia has committed a serious violation, because it has been negligent on the leakage of data 1 million users facebook account in Indonesia. Indonesia placed the third largest in the scandal of Facebook user data leakage.

First-class countries affected by the leak is the United States as much as 70.6 million accounts or 81.6 percent. The second order is the Philippines as much as 1.1 million more users facebook account.

The leaked data of 1 million Facebook accounts in Indonesia out of a total of 87 million users worldwide is related to a third party scandal: Cambridge Analytica, especially in the form of a personality quiz.

The Electronic Information and Technology Act in Article 32 as a rule violated by Facebook. The House of Representatives reacted strongly: the Indonesian government should be able to prosecute, impose sanctions, to close access to Facebook. If this social media is not given any punishment, then it happens less precedent for other internet companies in Indonesia.

Commission I of the House of Representatives Meutya Hafid, deputy chairman of the Golkar faction in Commission I, see Facebook has committed a serious offense. Meutya cited the 32nd Article ITE Act as a rule violated by Facebook.

"As a sovereign country, the law in Indonesia must be fulfilled and whoever violates the sanctions in accordance with the applicable law," wrote Meutya.

Meutya said the government can sue, impose sanctions, to close access to Facebook. He is worried if the social network was not given any punishment, this will be a bad precedent for other internet companies in Indonesia. "Please government can choose the third option."

Government of Indonesia through the Ministry of Communications and Informatics affirmed: if Facebook stubbornly did not close the third-party applications (Cambridge Analytica), then Kemkominfo will not hesitate to close the Facebook service in Indonesia. "If (third-party applications) baseball shut down, would I shut down all?" said Menkominfo Rudiantara asserted.
