I understand, somewhat, all the issues happening on steemit as of late, as the so-called war (a term which I detest because it fills your mind with negativity, hurt, blame and people having to pick a side); is affecting SO many steemians. I have seen "friendships" broken, and perhaps even no way of mending and that saddens me.
I also understand the need to stand up for oneself, voice your views, stand by your convictions and, in the end, to retain your integrity and morals.
I can appreciate everyone doing what they believe is correct and standing firm. That's what having our freedom of speech is all about. If everyone had the same viewpoints and opinions, we would be quite monotone and, actually, kind of dull in this world.
I appreciate @davemccoy for making this post, setting up this steemit page for people who tend to avoid conflict and who prefer to avoid, hate to say it this way but, drama.
I support community and unification because without support, friendships and positive relationships, we have nothing. We are alone. We stand solo. And I do not believe that's what steemit is about; to be alone.
I have always appreciated @fulltimegeek for delegating his SP to me and will forever be grateful for ALL the wonderful events, posts, contests, etc that his generosity has allowed me to pass on to other steemians in the three months that I served as a SOG. I applaud his pay it forward soul, his desire to make steemit a stronger platform and to advance to new levels. His kindness effected so many steemians and brought us together as a unified body of members to spread the word, lift other members up and become confident in the platform's future.
When this disagreement or conflict and stance for bettering steemit has a resolution, I would be more than honored to continue the work as an SOG and continue uplifting more steemians.
Dawne I know that it is tough what you are going through. You are one of the ones that have borne the brunt of the pain so far. And that pain is not about just losing power and influence, as you said it is about breaking apart some of the family. You are one of the ones that I was thinking of when this idea came to my mind. I know what kind of influence and support you give directly to people each day, and I am very driven to see you move forward! And I want to do my part in helping you, so I can see you spread your magic each day!!! You are truly amazing and have taught me so much!
The good thing I think is this will end favorably and I'm positive you will be even stronger when its all over! I'm very confident of that. :)
I know I've told you many many times how much I appreciate everything you do, but I want to do it again here today! You've been a MAJOR contributor to the success of #newbieresteemday and have helped so many of our members that it is impossible to list them! I love our Dear Dawne segment and its by far the biggest contributor to more experienced steemians understanding how they can help us newbies/minnows out. It was a big factor and gave us credibility in people's eyes like Asher and @coolguy123. So we owe you much and will forever be behind you! You can count on it!
