Ye Olde Steemshop
Welcome to Ye Olde Steemshop! This is a new project made by @katharsisdrill and @evilhippie - a sort of small arts & craft store where people will be able to buy limited edition arts and craft that we have either made or selected.
We plan to sell, 3d-figurines, printed art with signatures, handmade knifes, jewellery and much more. Offers will come up in posts and be explained there. Sometimes an offer will depend on how many people are interested, sometimes not.
The goods will be sold for steem to make things as simple and independent of the real world economy as possible. We plan to power up what we earn here, so with time this profile might also be able to give some reasonable votes for our customers. If (or when) we decide to sell other people's things we will of course have to pay them, but how that is going to work has not been decided yet.

We hope of course that you will help us with reshares and getting the word out about this.

Do handmade little wooden lamps count as "craft"?
For a ridiculously generous offer, I may even consider selling the Ivy Staff. Are there any druid reenactors among your friends?
I am not at all sure which of Steemit's many druids that will even notice our little shop, but the goods you mention is surely arts and craft objects of fine quality...

This is exciting stuff. I have been able to buy some things for steem already, including art from @katharsisdrill. I'm keen to spend more of what I make here.

It is exiting indeed. I have always liked the idea of actually using Steem to make real trade. The Steem system has all the features that makes it ideal for internet trade - it is fast and has free transactions. We decided to power up what we get so it becomes an investment in the system, at least for now. The postal and packaging expenses will just be an alternative way of buying Steem.

Thanks! There is definitely a chance for guest artists. For simplicity we have just used the arts and craft shop as a metaphor, which means that it is our shop and we decide who to invite and the conditions (which will be favorable :) Others have tried to make trade platforms and such, but we just want to sell curated, quality goods.
Lets get back to discussing when we have had some experience, with this thing.

This really is cool. I always thought we should start a sort of 'steemit etsy' so we could get others on here to sell their stuff as well.
We are not going to be a Steemit Etsy. That would be to complicated. We mainly want to sell our own things and make it possible for our Steemit art friends (you being one of them :) to do the same. Our latest post is about how things are going to be handled at least until have some more experience.
We try to keep it simple, so we do not get too much bother from it and so it will keep being a fun thing for all involved both buyers, sellers and us :)
