MEET A WHALE WITH @JAMESMOVIC.....season1

Wow!!!! Guess what friends? Its meet a whale the first of its kind.

"Meet a Whale" is the first of its kind, founded by me and comes up every Sunday. It's an interview with a whale, in which I ask Steem-related questions from which newbies might benefit. Be sure to look for the post each week and learn about the platform!

Meet @PHARESIM a whale and a role model

@jamesmovic - Who introduced you to steemit and what was your motive for joining?

@pharesim- I got introduced by my old friend fuzzy back when steem mining started. He followed dan's projects closely, and asked for help with mining. After reading the whitepaper I was immediately hyped. I was always interested in blockchain projects that enable as many people as possible to participate, and the concept of steem just seemed perfect to approach the masses.

@jamesmovic - How long did it take before your post started getting views?

@pharesim - The community was so small back then, all posts were seen by everyone[ winks]

@jamesmovic - How many times do you think its appropriate for a newbie to post per day?

@pharesim - As on any social media. Too much will annoy your followers. As a rule of thumb I'd say 2 posts a day should be enough.

@jamesmovic - Which do you prefer sticking to a niche or just writing randomly?

@pharesim - That totally depends on you and what you want. Steem is a social media platform, and the primary goal in using it should be to have fun. If you have something special to write about it may be worth thinking about setting up a dedicated blog for it though, your audience will appreciate that they only see topics that interest them.

@jamesmovic - Any advice you would wish to give to my fellow steemians[ newbies] who are feeling dejected one way or the other due to low upvotes?

@pharesim - Check your expectations. How many posts of other authors do you read and upvote? How many likes do you get on other sites like instagram? This place is not different than the rest of the world. Looking at the wallets of others is a most certain way to unhappiness.

@jamesmovic - What exactly does "voting for a witness" means and do you think it is necessary for all steemians to vote?

@pharesim - Witnesses are in control of the rules of the blockchain. Every investor should have an interest in having the most trustable persons filling that role. Besides, the good payment allows financing infrastructure projects this way, and a lot of witnesses put a lot of work in those. A vote not only secures their funding, but is a sign of appreciation.
While a minnow with low SP has very little influence on the outcome of the vote, it's the mass of users that counts - like in any democracy. I acknowledge that it's a bit more demanding than choosing one candidate every few years - you have 30 votes, and you can update your choices any time. If that's too much for you you can still use the proxy function. This way you can choose someone who actively manages their witness votes and don't need to worry about keeping up to date with all the different witnesses' work and projects.

@jamesmovic - What impression do you have about this interview and what do you feel about it?

@pharesim - You're very patient! smile For the future, maybe prepare the questions and ask them all at once so you don't have to wait for single answers all the time.

@jamesmovic - Lol...thanks for your time and thanks for honoring my invitation

@pharesim - my pleasure!

I know you all to be a good writer.
Thanks for the contest anyway.

Thanks to you all that upvoted

Great interview @jamesmovic with @pharesim. Nice concept. Really learnt a lot. Looking forward to more of this from you in the future

You asked well thought questions which are on the minds of almost every newbie aspiring to become a whale.

This is the first interview with a whale I would read on this platform and I must commend you for going beyond the ordinary.

Nice one

Wow, am just seeing this now...@jamesmovic my troublesome friend, you are great! How did you come about this? Lol, well you have done a great job here...this will help newbies alot to get to meet whales and also to understand more about steemit... Kudos!!

Lol, thank you.

What an interesting interview..
Well, concerning Sticking to a niche or just writing, my opinion towards that is sticking to a niche. All these popular tags we find on exolore were once small niche that grew big with hardwork and secondly sticking to a niche doesn't mean you'll leave ur blog empty, you also post too. So invariably, you still have something to post about..
Thank you.

James, I am very proud of you for coming up with this idea and conducting your first interview! Those who have been on the platform a long time certainly have a lot to teach those of us who haven't been here as long, and this is a good way to do it! I really enjoyed reading what @pharesim had to say! BRAVO for thinking of a unique solution! 😊

You are also part of those i have been learning from right from the very first day i joined this platform...you are such a rare gem

I really like the idea. My question how do u get to interview these whales. That was d first question that popped in my head when I heard meet a whale.

This is an intresting innovation... Kudos @jamesmovi and all your team. What I'd say is that, minnows should be motivated rather than being discouraged. Every whale started as a minnow. No one has ever climbed a ladder from the top. I believe I'd be interviwed as a WHALE someday. One thing I have discovered is that, to be a successful steemian, i will have to build my world in STEEMIT.

This is really amazing,at least we will know where we lack behind and how to also become a whale.
