Story of a sleeping fire...

Overdrawn, she stood utterly disrupt. "Conniving trickster" she exclaimed. "I can't believe I believed you, even for a second! I regret ever marrying you" and stumped away.

"Accursed is you. I felt you were fairest amongst damsels but now I perceive my wrongness. You're only but fair at face but not at heart." he screamed at her, banging the door to the old Chavelier.

Curran was a bountifully rich entrepreneur who couldn't have been more applauded amongst peers. His effontary in business and his malevolent decisions, without malice, made him an awe.

Both men and women couldn't do without his farm sales and cement factory, yet he was loneliest. He was without wife and child. Though he was the most eligible bachelor, yet was he the most single known in Arkansas.

Unlucky are they who are lucky, mostly in love. Like the saying goes. Today's rich man will be tomorrow's poor lover.

Sir Curran IV of Fortsmout ville, captain of the 5th voyage El Caprico, was without doubt, subtle, cunning and smooth, therefore his excellent marketing skills. He made a fortune last summer at sales, of which he'll soon lose. If only he didn't listen to Sir Armonte.

Two years ago, not everyone would have thought he will change his mind towards celibacy till Sir Armonte came to be at Fortsmout ville with his family, consisting of a wife and two daughters, Claire and Carol, himself included.

Sir Armonte wooed him once in business and they both made great gain as well as acquaintance. He worshipped the bachelor's celibacy and discipline and insisted upon marriage to his first daughter Claire.

Claire couldn't have been prettier. She had crimson coloured eyes which matched her delicate hair. She was elegant and calmly, always keeping to herself but with a tinge of wildness in her attitude when excited.

They made plans and met at the canyon for the ball of the fortnight. They danced and fell in love, or at least they thought they did. Obviously she was attracted by the material benefits and he, after holding back so long, was maddened by her fairness.

They married after 6 months of courting. She was with child after a year, but she never put to bed. She lost the first child, and just like his fortune was tied to his child, he lost it too.

Two years felt like two eons with them. They cared less about each other gradually till every ounce of love, if measurable, was removed.

On a very cloudy day, with almost all hope lost, a vile wind without compassion on singles, blew from the north, causing great cold. Claire was not anymore frequent at home, Curran piled away in his chamber, withering away like a dead tree, trying to figure out from whence did his misfortune came, when the young damsel of Egun, who had been a serving girl in the home, stepped in the room naked...

Like though she was sent... Like an uncertain but good looking angel,... Like an evil sweetness... He turned to look upon her...

To be continued...
