Steem Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek 6 Review and Match Prediction Game

in #sfpl7 years ago (edited)

We are closing in on gameweek 6 of the Premier League. Many fantasy managers have picked their players based on the first 4-6 matchweeks, but now might be the time for a change. Manchester City, Arsenal and Leicester are among the teams who have some great fixtures coming up. Liverpool and Chelsea have a few tough games coming up so you might want to make a few changes for the coming time. But ladies and gentlemen. I present to you another week of world-class entertainment. Enjoy!

West Ham - Tottenham

Just as much as Spurs suffer playing home, they thrive playing away. Their victories so far this season both came when playing away from home. I wrote an article some weeks ago why I thought Spurs would suffer at home this season, and so far I am right. One of my other predictions was that West Ham would have a great season. Something they haven't achieved so far, and when playing Spurs at home, it dosen't look like they will continue their run from last weeks victory. A classic London derby will kick this match week off. West Ham - Tottenham. A match where West Ham will be more than satisfied with a draw, but Tottenham will not settle for anything else than a victory. I expect a close match with Spurs dominating the game. West Ham got their first victory of the season last week, but I don't see them get their second. At best, they might get a draw. Even though West Ham normally do well against Spurs, with having won three of four home meetings with Spurs, I still see Spurs getting the three points.

Predicted Lineup (West Ham): Hart, Ogbonna, Reid, Fonte, Zabaleta, Cresswell, Obiang, Kouyate, Chicarito, Antonio, Carroll.

Missing Players: Lanzini and Collins (injured)

Predicted Lineup (Spurs): Lloris, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Aurier, Dier, Dembele, Davies, Eriksen, Alli, Kane.

Missing Players: Lamela, Rose and Wanyama (injured)

Leicester - Liverpool

Having one only one out of their first five matches, it might be strange to believe in Leicester in this game, but that's what I do. Leicester first games have been against the top six. Chelsea, Arsenal and United, and a surprisingly well organized Huddersfield. Liverpool is still struggling, and we got it confirmed once again mid- week as Leicester and Liverpool played against each other in the third round of Cabarao Cup. Leicester managed to win without Vardy, Mahrez and Schmeichel, while Liverpool played with several first-team players like Henderson, Wijnaldum, Klavan, Coutinho, Oxlade and Gomez. Therefor Leicester has set up perfect conditions for another victory. I believe we will see a Liverpool team that will be struggling, which Leicester will take advantage of. Both teams might be happy with a draw, but I see this end in a Leicester victory.

Predicted Lineup (Leicester): Schmeichel, Fuchs, Maguire, Morgan, Simpson, Albrighton, Ndidi, King, Mahrez, Okazaki, Vardy

Missing Players: Adrien Silva and Matty James (injured)

Note! Vardy, Fuchs, and Robert Huth are all doubts and might not play.

Of course, I have to include a preview of the leading team in the Premier League. It's hard to tell which Manchester club looks the best, but they sure both look great at the moment. Manchester United has had easy fixtures so far, and apart from Stoke, this might be the toughest opponent yet. Southhampton away is never easy. They did not have a great start to the season but seems to finally have worked it out. The return of Van Dijk might as well be perfectly timed, as he is expected to play. With the return of him and the absence of Pogba, Southampton might have a chance. Also, you should not forget Southampton has only lost one match so far this season and kept a clean sheet in three of them. Despite Pogba being injured, Southampton strong in defense and the home advantage, I still see Man Utd bag a goal win by the end of this match.

Predicted Lineup (Southampton): Forster, Soares, Dijk, Hoedt, Bertrand, Lemina, Romeu, Redmond, Davis, Tadic and Gabbiadini.

Missing Players: None. Maybe Charlie Austin.

Predicted Lineup (Man Uted): De Gea, Young, Jones, Bailly, Valencia, Matic, Fellaini, Mata, Mkhitaryan, Martial and Lukaku.

Missing Players: Zlatan, Pogba and Rojo. (injured)

Anyone Interested In Doing A Podcast

To make these posts even more interested and valuable for people reading them, I am thinking about doing a podcast. A podcast with the focus on the Fantasy game in the Premier League. I am thinking it should just be short episodes (15 min max) and only audio. So if anyone is interested in doing so, please contact me on discord @arsenal49
