Steem Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek 11 Review and Match Prediction Game

in #sfpl7 years ago (edited)

First of all I think it's time to say a massive thank you to all supporting this project. The prize pool is increasing faster than ever. One day we will beat the official prize pool, I am sure. Thank you!

This game week is amazing. Two huge games, one game that looks promising for a lot of points, and a new feature in the fantasy game might be used by a lot of managers this weekend. Sunday is the day where it will all go down. Tottenham - Palace. Chelsea - United. City - Arsenal. Holy lord. Amen brother. I can't wait. I have tried to put my thoughts on some of these games, but also my thoughts on why I have used the "free hit" feature this game week. Let's go!

Free Hit

Instead of doing three previews I will talk a bit about the Free Hit option you have. Free hit makes it possible to change your team for one game-week only. That means that your team will go back to the team it was before you used the "Free Hit". But why do I want to talk about that this week? Because I myself have used it, and I think my reason is okay. We have two massive games coming up. Chelsea-United, and City-Arsenal. The problem with massive games like this is that you can never predict the outcome. City are more likely to draw or lose to Arsenal than they are to Stoke or Brighton, therefore I think it's harder to predict this match week than any other. With "Free Hit" you have the opportunity to go all in on teams you normally wouldn't do. For example, Tottenham attack and Newcastle defense might be a good idea. Remember you only have one free hit during all season, so maybe you want to save it. I have used it and hopefully, it will pay off.

Chelsea - Manchester United

On the paper a great match, but I think it will be the complete opposite. A match where both teams will probably be okay with a single point. Especially Mourinho. We are most likely to see a very conservative United team, trying to hurt Chelsea on a counter-attack. On the other hand, I actually think we will see a very aggressive and direct Chelsea squad. It was due to De Gea that United didn't lose against Liverpool, and he might be the one to save them again. Hazard is back and therefore Chelsea have become a lot more creative, and United might suffer from that. Hazard is a world-class player and De Gea will have to be at his best to stop him from scoring. Kanté should also return which is a massive boost for Chelsea who recently lost 3-0 to Roma without him. He plays a massive role for Chelsea, and I simply don't see United score a goal, mostly because of him. Lukaku has never been good against the bigger teams, and I don't think he will be this time neither. Kanté eats guys like Lukaku for breakfast. Due to the lack of offensive creativity at United and defensive abilities at Chelsea I reckon this might end up goalless. 0-0 is my prediction. A result both manager with be fine with. I can only recommend defensive players for both teams.

Missing Players: Moses (Chelsea), Zlatan, Fellaini, Pogba, Rojo and Lingard (United)

Tottenham - Crystal Palace

For me the most interesting match fantasy wise. Tottenham is, of course, huge favorites here. Due to two massive games between the top six clubs, I think this is the match to bag a lot of points. Crystal Palace is still conceding goals like a League 1 team. Tottenham is on fire. Recently won 3-1 against the former Champions League winners. They look deadly. I hate to say it, as an Arsenal fan, but they look insanely good. Crystal Palace will be put under pressure from the first minute, and Kane, Alli and Eriksen will make sure of that. As mention earlier, this might be the round to use your "free hit" which allows you to change your whole squad for one game week. If you don't have any Tottenham players I highly recommend buying some for this game week. As I expect Spurs to score at least two goals, I also expect them to keep a clean sheet if they can keep Zaha from opportunities. I can't recommend any defenders from Spurs as I think they will rotate a bit. They might play Serge Aurier and Rose instead of Trippier and Davies. Other than that I don't think they will rotate a lot, due to the fact that there is an international break coming up. I predict 3-0.

Missing Players: Wanyama, Alderweireld, Lamela, Lloris (Spurs) and Wickham, Benteke, Lee-Chung (Palace)
