My first scam experience which happened in the year 2010

in #scammers7 years ago (edited)

My Scam story occurred in the year 2010 that was a year after my graduation from senior secondary school, I attended government science secondary school pyakasa Abuja, Nigeria. Where I wrote my "west West African examination" popularly known as waec in the year 2009.

I am known for being calm, cool headed, Obedient and Also gentleness. I was just in my late teenage age so my parents gave me much freedom at home

On a very faithful Wednesday ( February 3rd 2010) that I think has been my worst day on earth.

On that morning my parents sat me down telling me to go and claim the certificate of the waec examination which I sat for on may/june 2009. It's was actually the first time I had to do something on my own without being followed or monitored for I was so happy and anxious to go to my former school, this time around as an O'level graduate.

So My dad gave me some cash which I am to use in transporting myself to school and also aid in claiming my certificate.

My Encounter with the scammers

So I left home that morning and on reaching the bus stop I saw a cab already heading my direction (heading to pyakasa ) with three passengers already occupying the vehicle, so I joined them making four passengers on the vehicle, Two of the passengers were looking really familiar with theirselves, that really wasn't my business, so I was very busy with my Phone not until I heard a loud quarrel between the driver and the third passenger.

Driver: Madam please what is inside your bag at the back booth of the vehicle

Third Passenger : oga I don't understand,  are my goods which I got from the market.

Driver: (driver got angry) madam why are you lieing

Third Passenger:(In a angry tone) Mr driver what is the meaning of all this questioning.

Me: I Sat innocently trying to understand what was going on, little did I know that they were in a plan to make me join there conversation

Other Passengers: madam please tell the driver what you kept inside your bag at the back booth of the vehicle.

Me: I was becoming very angry about everything that was going on at that moment because am already getting late, so I decided to ask what was the matter.

Not Knowing that it's was already a trap for me, I was sitting on top of a charm (Black African magic) which they kept for me so that when ever I join their conversation, I will be so much interested with the happenings at that moment.

Driver: Thank you sir, please ask this woman what is inside her bag at the back booth of my car.

Third Passenger : crying...sir please it's is money which I stole from my boss.

Me: I brought a suggestion of taking the money to the police but my suggestion was kicked by others passengers

So we went to back of the vehicle and the driver opened the booth, behold it was a bag full of US dollars with a red Cloth tired around the money.

She Said it  was a fetish charm that who so every claims the money must die.

I became so afraid and wanted to run away but couldn't because the charm has already taking control of me, I had already started developing lust for the money. So these men took me to a traditionalist who they say Will get ride of the charm.

I became so lust about the money for at that moment I felt like I have acquired all my needs in life.

We met the traditionalist and he also made us to introduce ourselves, I was really surprised when he (the traditionalist) started telling me stories about my life and my family which I had never say to anyone present there.

It was so real that I believed every word from his mouth thinking he was the real deal.

So the traditionalist told each  and everyone of us to drop what so every amount is in out pocket, that which I quickly gave out not minding that was the entire money with me at that moment.

Ooh I was really young and didn't know what I was even doing then, he also told me to go get and get more money for the rituals.

I want to my father's office and had to lie to him that the money which he gave me was not enough, so he gave me more cash which I collected and went back there.

My phone rang it's was my dad, he said he called to ask me if am actually OK because I was behaving very strange as if was addicted to some kind of drugs. I told him that i was OK and he hang phone.

So told to wait outside the house of the traditionalist after giving him the money, which I stayed for hours before getting myself.

I became asking myself what was I doing here and any many questions, I was so confused at that moment because at my age then  I was just too young to experience such kind of thing.

I tried to get back to the house of the traditionalist but on getting there I was told that nobody leaves there, all this occurring on that same day.

I got home crying and begging my parents to forgive me for I have offended them,  I was really crying bitterly that was when my dad stood me up telling that I shouldn't cry but thank God that I am alive today for I could have fallen in the hands of ritualist or kidnappers which would have caused more tears, pains and suffering to the family.

All thanks to God for keeping me alive up till this moment.

Hope you guys learnt something special about my life story

Be cautious of what so ever thing you do in life
