It's so noisy!! : Loop earplugs review

So I've recently moved to a new place, it's in an area with a lot of shops and drinking spots, so gets really loud at night
I was struggling a lot at night to sleep, I even couldn't sleep one night because of the screams of drunk people and sirens from police cars.
Evidently, I was starting to get a bit nervous, hearing these sounds while I was trying to sleep did not make me feel safe. My window isn't soundproof, so even when I closed it, I could still hear everything from the outside.
Luckily, I had been persistently getting advertisements on YouTube and TikTok about some earplugs, called Loop earplugs.
Not only that, but when I mentioned the issues I was having with the outside noise to a friend, they recommended the same brand (Loop) to me, and told me it had helped them a lot.

But which type of earplugs should I get? The Loop website had many different models to choose from, with varying prices. Luckily, the website has a section called 'Help me choose', with a clear for 'Sleep' section.
In the Sleep earplugs section, there was a Loop Quiet model, and a Loop Quiet 2 model. It seems like the only difference between them was the type of silicone earplug they came with. The Quiet model had only the standard single earplug, whereas the Quiet 2 had a double tipped silicone earplug.

I decided to go for the Quiet 2 model, as it was only £19.95 (119.70 STEEM). This price seemed pretty reasonable, as they were reusable earplugs, with a specialised design targeted to sleep.
One amazing thing about Loop earplugs which made me buy them was their 100-day free return, which would get me a full refund! So I was even keener to give them a go, knowing there was nothing to lose.
There were various colours available too. However, at the time that I bought it, there was only black available haha.

The earplugs came after 4 days of me ordering them, even though I chose 2 days delivery (oh well).
The box was small and compact, not sure why I was expecting a huge one.

In the image pictured above, the box that contained the earplugs was minimalist and simple. A good branding choice in my opinion.

After opening, I discovered that you were provided a variety of tips, both single tipped, and double tipped. This was a pleasant surprise. Not only that, but they had tips sized from XS to L.
After testing a few times, I worked out XS gave me the proper noise reducing experience. Changing the ear tips was also very easy.
The earplugs came in a carry case, which was small and compact, super tiny!! It has a little loop attached for most likely attaching to a keyring. But as I'm using them for sleep, I don't really plan on using that.
The case is quite satisfying to the touch, with a little indent on the side that they open.

In the picture above, I've put the earplugs inside the case in order for the details to be more easily visible. I tried to get some close up pictures, but unfortunately my phone camera is just too weak.
The earplugs fit snuggly into the case, as the case had little indents for the 'loop' part.
I have worn them to sleep
The same night I got them, I tried them almost immediately. They definitely help! The box they came in says it reduces noise y 21 decibels. I'm not too sure how to describe that, but for me, it sounds like almost being underwater? The noise from outside my building sounds further away, and dampened. I still do hear some of the louder noises, but not as intensely as without.
I slept well that night, and was really pleased with the Loop earplugs.

Oh wow! I've seen advertisements for these before (mostly on YouTube) but I've never seen someone get them- so cool! You should decorate the case with stickers or something like that😁
It's cool that they came with so many sizes, really useful to be able to try out different sizes to make sure you get the right fit.
So sad to hear that your new place made you feel anxious, hopefully these plugs help and you get more comfortable!
