I'm Currently Working on an Open Source Laravel CMS UPDATE

in #programming7 years ago

As some of you know a two days ago I began working on a new open source Laravel CMS, and I would like to share my progress thus-far. Of course the login, logout, and register views were already built into the Laravel framework, but I fancied those up a bit. I have completed the core part of the post controller, including the create, edit, show, delete, and index views. I'm using the TineyMCE plugin as the WYSIWYG editor.

Things which will be added later to posts:

  1. Posting to social media via the api, Steemit, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest,
  2. Emailing the post
  3. Analytics (view counts, social shares)
  4. File Manager connection
  5. Ajax auto-save (not sure how to do this yet)
  6. Post encrypted password protection

The most time consuming part of a project such as this is the css styling, (which I'm not all to good at keeping organized). Nevertheless, this project has kept me excited! I cannot wait to complete, and set it up for the first time! Let me know what else should be added to the post controller/views in the comments!!!
