Untitled pt 7

'What music do you like?'
I don't really have a specific type
'Mind if I play some tracks?'
Just as long as it doesn't sound like crap
'Ever heard of Our Last Night?'
They cover and make their own songs right?
'Their music is directed straight to my soul'
'I can feel it in every chord'
I'm guessing you're a metal fan?
'I love it more my pots and pans ;)'

The drive was less than fifteen minutes
She sat in silence, I could feel her presence
When she had the chance
She'd put her hand on mine and give me a mysterious glance

I finally came to a conclusion
This must've all been a fantasy
Just some sick Delusion

We got to my place
I grabbed the parcels and walked towards the front porch
She stood in awe
I'm really not sure why
I think my house is just a regular bore

Mind if I help you?
She slid in behind me and grabbed some cookery
'I don't mind, But I'm the clean up crew'

I prepped my cray-fish, salmon and variations of mollusks
De-veined my prawns and drained my muscles
Put a pot on the heat
And whipped a mixture of salads to eat

Five minutes my water was boiling
'Time to watch 'em start squirming'
That's really repulsive
'It's life, you have to fight to survive'
Why do you watch?
'Just to make sure they don't escape my pot'

She burst out laughing
Makes a lot of sense
'I've had some try to escape like soldiers during drafting'
'I went to the bathroom to refresh myself'
'When I came back my dinner had clawed its way to my bookshelf'

I see you have a piano...
Do you play?
'I haven't had reason to'
'I'm not sure if I can remember how too'

Play me a song
You're my piano man
'I'm really not sure if I can...'

C; D; E; F; G
A feeling of familiarity
A quick stretch of my fingers and crack of my knuckles
My fingers weren't as supple

I felt two hand come from behind
She embraced me as I played my mind
I put in my all
To remember and play a song from long before

Every pent up emotion
Flowed through my fingers
And produced a sweet sound with fluid motions
I could feel my eyes getting moist
I hadn't played in so long
Most of my ability I lost
I stopped when I couldn't remember
An important song that got me through a dreadful December

Are you alright?
'I'm sorry but these notes hurt my mind'
'I can't play anymore'
'The wounds aren't fresh but still sore'

'I think the starters are ready'
I just wanted to avoid the situation
I didn't want to remember my past frustrations
Take your time, I really don't mind
