Fearful Dream

I fell asleep and spawned in a dream.
It was a nightmare, but I couldn’t scream!

Fear, I say, was the strongest emotion.
It injected in me the following notion.

In all of humanity, my faith almost lost.
Our masters are winning! Our freedom's the cost!

Our masters are working to rid us of rights,
and we let them do it, without many fights.

Here is a train of thought I then had.
Our masters, you see, are not ironclad!

We know our country is being torn down
by corrupted power in Washington town.

A wedge was devised to separate us,
making us need to fight and to fuss.

That wedge was intended to keep us divided,
for they are endangered when we are united.

There is no way to get out of this,
if in our duty we remain remiss!

They separate us, and we play our part well.
They make us believe that's how we excel!

Why gullible people? It's hard to explain,
but blind faith in power is the people's bane!

They're doing more than steeling the land.
They'll enslave all...woman and man!

Slowly, but surely, we're being prepared,
and being divided leaves us impaired!

I don't believe that deep in our heart
we want to keep fighting, and drifting apart.

Our history remains...every cruel deed,
but a united people is what we now need!

We need to work through our terrible past,
for we're losing our future incredibly fast!

This is the land on which many were born,
It's here they are native. It's here they took form.

We are "The People" of many colors.
We are all sisters and we are all brothers.

Staying divided keeps us not free.
Working together, is really the key!

If we stay divided, will we finally fall?!
If we were united, could we reclaim all?!

If we came together, could we make a stand!
If we came together, could we spoil what they've planned!

We're in this together! It's obvious to me
that we are the country, but only when free!

We need to unite, before it's too late.
Otherwise, we face a terrible fate!

If together we'd speak with one mighty voice,
our masters would listen. They'd have no choice!

We need to unite, but it's up to you!
We need to unite under red, white and blue!

I finally wake up and out of this dream,
to begin without fear, my daily routine.

Note to myself:

This should end in a period.

  • This is the land on which many were born,

Both of these should end in "!?".
If we came together, could we make a stand!
If we came together, could we spoil what they've planned!
