Wild Edibles - The Dandelion

Often thought of as weeds, the dandelion is an edible plant offering a lot of nutrients that are needed by our bodies.  The leafy greens of this often overlooked food are a great source of vitamins A, B and C.  They also contain Iron and potassium.  These greens can be eaten raw or cooked.  Next time you come across the infamous dandelion, pick a mess of them and try 'em in a salad!

Is it true that dandelions are diuretic?

Hello,
Although I don't readily know the answer to this, a quick look on the internet suggests that they are and have been used this way for a long time in Chinese natural medicine practices.
Here is one of many links I came across with this information.
Hope it helps!
