A Serendipitous Collision in the Redwood Forest

California is home to many interesting trees.

It hosts the Grand Sherman tree in Sequoia National Park - the largest tree in the world measured by volume.

It also has the Methuselah tree which is a bristlecone pine tree - the Oldest Tree in the World at 4,765 years old.

It has the tallest tree in the world, the Hyperion, which is found the Northern Coast.

The trees in the photograph here are nowhere near the breadth or height of the aforementioned wonders. They're all cousins, however, as they're all of the pine genus. On this day, these normal redwoods are the stars because of the serendipitous collision of events that created this scene - A passing sun and mist.

Have you seen any of the trees mentioned above?
