Bridge collapse in Katiadi, sufferings from isolated people

Bridge on the canals collapsed due to the increase of people's suffering in Katiadi Upazila. The bridge was constructed five years ago under the supervision of the Upazila Project implementation funding the Ministry of Relief. The estimated expenditure was 3million Taka. The implementing company named shiblu Enterprise of Kishoreganj was implemented. When the bridge was collapsed without going for 5 years of construction, the people of the area were unhappy. Due to their error in making complaints and poor quality of the goods, the bridge collapsed due to rain water it is known that the bridge built on manikkhali pachpara canal of chandapur union of the upazila fiscal year 2012-13. It has fulfilled the long demand for communication with the upazila headquarters of thousands of people of pachpara of chandapur union and village of Devaler Kanda and surrounding villages. But due to the collapse of a small rain water, the disruption of people's movement, along with those villages, caused serious disruption. Although a month has passed, no reform measures have yet been taken. Ratan ghosh of Pachpara village complained that due to corruption and irregularities of the officials, the contractors completed the work with low quality goods. Moreover, without water flow survey and soil testing, unplanned work can be completed. According to PIO office sources, Shiblu Enterprise has completed the work. When taking about the contractor Shiblu Mia, he said that, I did the bridge in front of a person in Netrokona. When asked about the collapse of the bridge, he kept the phone. Pachpara villagers Rajan And Mikul said that, the supervision of the government was necessary for such looting in the name of development work. Chandapur Union Chairman Mahtab Uddin said, the bridge collapsed due to the contractor's low quality work. this resulted in the increase of the disaster of thousand of people in Devaler kanda and Pachpara villagers. Upazila Engineer Galib ibn Siddique said, "despite the department of relief, I have visited the site with the Upazila Executive officer". Upazila Chairman Abdul Wahab Ain Uddin said, the collapse of the bridge has increase the suffering of the people. We are demanding a new bridge for the people to the government.
