Despite lot of people think that funding is necessary for a business to start, it is not always true. Yes, you can actually start a business without any money! There are tons of business ideas that you can begin with no money. All of these ideas fall into 3 major classes of business that can be started without any capital. So, if you understand these classes properly, you can easily generate an idea that seems plausible for you.

1. Sell your creations
Create something. Then sell it. Easy. Even if you don’t know to create things, you can learn. Some common things that you can create or learn to create are:

Arts and paintings
Handicrafts.
Food products.
Storybooks and Novels
Clothes
Software
Websites

Creation business runs well. There’s a market for everything. But, your creations must be loved by people. You can even specialize on things, such as flower vases for handicrafts, cakes for food products, e-commerce websites, horror stories for children etc. Visit websites like Etsy, Free Craft Fair and iCraftgifts where people sell their handmade products. Find out what you can create, create good and then sell. Voila ! Business.

2. Sell used products
Look for what you have that you can afford to sell. There are people who do buy used stuffs. I just said above, there’s a market for everything. Just understand the business and find the market. Do you have a chair in your basement that you haven’t been using ? An old laptop that needs some repairing ? Old books ? Cameras ? Bring them out and make some money. Some common things that are frequently sold are:

Electronics like mobile phones, laptops, refrigerators, heater, desktop computers, television, music players.
Clothes
Furniture like tables, chairs, beds, cupboards.
Books
Cars , cycles, motorcycles

You can sell around your neighborhood or even in the sites like Amazon and eBay. Well, the problem with selling such products is you run out of them after a while. So what do you do ? Well, the trick is start by selling your items, then collect some money and then buy from other people, some of which you may even get for free. Then sell them with a profit.

2. Sell used services
There are a lot of people who are in need of your service and are more than happy to pay you. Provide whatever service you can. If you are good at something , that’s even better. Do what you are good at and earn money. You can provide services such as :

Baby sitting
Guitar lessons
Writing for other people
Cleaning services
Repairing electronics like computers and stuffs.
Tutoring
Coaching classes
Consulting
Advertising

Do whatever you can for a few months. Develop relationships and links. Understand the business. Know the market. Then gather other employees in your service company !!

For an instance, lets say you are good at programming. Start programming classes, both online and offline. Advertise. Gather students. Then, after a time, start your own institute that teaches programming. Find other teachers. Advertise more. Find more students. Then create more branches of your institute.

One thing that you have to always keep in mind while starting up is that, it’s never ever easy to build a good business company. Never. If it was easy, everybody would be a business owner. So, be ready to work really hard. And another thing, it takes time. Yeah, you need to have patience. You can’t grow your business overnight. Now that you know that you don’t need capital to start your business, what’s stopping you ?
