THE END JUSTIFIES THE MEANS

Any good thing to an end, we keep repeating this sentence, but impossible to accommodate. After nine years of broadcast, episode 6 of season 8 sounds the gong of the cult series GAME OF THRONE. Each episode has been followed with as much interest as passion by thousands of people around the world. Nevertheless the final episode had a special attention because it would close the last narrative arc by revealing whoever will inherit the throne. However the course of the first 5 episodes of the season had disappointed more than one and left them perplexed as to the possible outcomes. I INCLUDED!

The multiplication of events, reversals of situations and intrigues advanced the story and participated in the evolution of the characters but the central theme of the series was the political game of different families to conquer the throne. Scenario shortcuts were made to reconvert the attentions to the essentials. Without doubt the season has been bastard view the choice of creators to grant only six episodes to this one, but on arrival they have not lost the thread.

#Sam who decides, although encouraged by #Bran and pushed by the confession of the execution of his family by #Daenerys, to announce to Jon at a delicate moment his true identity. The sudden death of the king of the night to quickly remove the threat of white walkers in a night of combat in one fatal stroke carried to the heart by the most lethal assassins. Events that follow one another in a hurry to reveal the murderous madness of #Daenerys. Port Real who falls without having fought, then the abrupt and shocking reaction of the mother of the dragons who burns a city of innocent already on their knees. #Cersei and #Jaime who are dying stupidly intertwined under the ruins of the red dungeon by affirming their humanity. Do not disturb the order of things.

On the contrary, the end is quite successful for me. This episode is logical, consistent with the whole series and politically correct. After the vibrant speech of the new tyrannical queen to remobilize his troops and establish his domination. It was obvious that reality was going to catch #Jon. To save the kingdom and especially protect his family, he had to sacrifice his queen, give up his loyalty and see a second love die. THE DUTY KILLS LOVE.

All pretenders to the throne are dead or imprisoned. The iron throne, symbol of Tyranny, melted like wax under the heat of the breath of #Drogon in rage, sad, aware that it is this throne responsible for all this bloodbath and its dismay. A new King / Queen of Consensus was to be found to stop this atrocious war that caused so much death and caused so much pain.

#Tyrion's speech about the importance of story telling is more than convincing. Who better to place than #Brandon Stark to gain unanimity in front of a council of agreement to adopt the system of elective monarchy? #Bran will never have an heir, he is consensual, presented as wise, has the right knowledge to make the right decisions and rebuild the kingdom. He needs neither throne nor enthronement. AS ON CASTERS!
The regicide considered as hiritant is sent to join the night guard far from the kingdom but it is the best place for #Jon Snow who was destined to live beyond the wall with his new family, his new people as well as his wolf, #Ghost . MORE EXILE GOLDEN THAN A PUNISHMENT.
North is independent, #Sansa Stark Winterfell's lady is Queen. YOUR MOTHER WILL BE PROUD OF YOU.
The King's hand is mature, experienced and his story is worth the King. He is a philanthropist, his intelligence has allowed him to survive until he is still paying his debts. TYRION, THE GREATEST LANNISTERS.
#Arya Stark goes on an adventure exploring a new country to the west. DO YOU NEED?
Gray worms and the Immaculate ones take the direction of the island of Naath to respect the promise of a love WITHOUT TAIL OR HEAD.
#Brienne of Torth sits next to #Samwell Tarly, #Bronn and Ser #Davos on King's Restricted Council. THEY WILL IMPROVE.

Realism has clearly taken precedence over the fantasy and overflowing imagination of fans who had their own ends in mind. The characters who suffered the most without being turned to the dark side of the force were rewarded. In the beginning were the Starks and in the end the Starks triumphed. Despite the fact that many prophecies were dismissed, this epilogue surprised us but after so much choa it was time for peace to return. Strong moments of farewell, reunion, hugs, departures, last tribute and bad jokes in calm and sincerity intensified the last scenes of a work that will mark us for life.
