"We must be strong in this life," said my uncle, who has been through many battles: solitude, hunger, cold, sleeping on the street, eating from garbage cans, and curing everything with drugs and alcohol--escaping a cruel life, which waits for no one at the end of the day. I love my uncle, he is the definition of a survivor of the system, which imprisons people, and of life, which remains in our youth, even when you think you're a mature adult. Nonetheless, here we are and life goes on. |
