물고기 is genius

I am just starting to learn Korean and I was reading words for practice and when I read 물고기 (fish) the 고기 sounded familiar. Look it up, and it’s meat. All I could think was there is no way 물 stands for water, AND IT DOES! Genius language I am now very excited to continue learning. Water meat.
