Kenapa hewan ini disebut serangga cantik. Ya . Karena hewan ini adalah hewan golongan insecta yang memiliki warna tubuh yang cantik yaitu warna hijau kebiruan biruan.
Kadang kala orang menyebut juga hewan ini sebagai lalat tungkai panjang. Hal ini disebabkan karena hewan ini memiliki kaki laki yang lebih panjang dari tubuhnya.
