The wrestling world is in morning yet again as another legend from the 1980s has passed away from cancer at the age of 63 on Monday. Sid Eudy, aka 'Sycho Sid Vicious,' also known as 'Sid Justice,' was a force to be reckoned with almost instantly after becoming a professional wrestler.

The first time I laid eyes on him was way back in the old WCW (World Championship Wrestling) when he teamed up with Dan Spivey to become 'the Twin Towers,' a group that didn't last long due to broken ribs and a punctured lung, injuries Sid endured at the hands of the Steiner Brothers in late 1989. After the injury, he was replaced on the team by Mean Mark Callous, who would later be known as 'The Undertaker.' After that, Sid would have a decent run as a member of Ric Flair's 'Four Horsemen.'

Two years later, Sid would show up as 'Sid Justice' and be the Special Guest Referee at SummerSlam in 1991. He was a mainstay on the program at that point and challenged Hulk Hogan a few times for the WWF Championship. That run pushed Sid into the upper tier of wrestling. After that, he went on to stints back in WCW before returning to the WWF as 'Sycho Sid Vicious,' a name he borrowed from one of his favorite musicians, before WrestleMania 11 as Shawn Michaels's bodyguard and then eventually winning the WWF Championship belt in 1996. The video below is from Bill Apter, a wrestling journalist who's been doing his art form since I was a child.

Rest in Peace
