The diary game 09/09/24: Long walk, new cafe and cakes

Hello my dear Steemians,

 

After having cold, misty days today was more clear and at least we could see better around, that is why we decided to have a long walk, because recently we heard that in our favourite place where we love to walk finally the old building was renovated and opened.

 

Historical buildings now nursery place

 

 
It was about early this year when this old building was closed down and after some time we saw the fence, we already started to worry that the buildings is going to be destroyed because it was already in the condition that required renovation but luckily recently we saw an advertisement saying that the building will be now used for nursery. Of course, it is relatively small building and maybe not so many kids will be able to attend it but it will be really nice one.

 

 
You can see that on the side there is a playground and ground is covered with green grass.

 

New cafe "the Other Place"

 

Our walk is usually through the park and then we go along the sea or sometimes through the main street back. This time we decided to go through our city because it was long ago when we were there last time.

Often we try to see if anything new open, because recently many places are shut down, people do not visit cafes and try not to buy anything. The reason is simple, inflation, the prices are going up and now heading to winter time people will save money for either Christmas time presents on other hand for fuel, who knows how it will be in winter.

*We were happy to see a new cafe that is called "the Other Place", it was open and we went in. Inside was nicely decorated in style of someone who loves Computer Games, Monopoly, because you could see the posters but also boxes with games. There was decoration from "Game of Thrones" and also "The Lord of the Rings"

 

 

The floor was still old timber that was cleaned and polished, the same you ca see of the table surface.

 

 

 

We sat at window and it was a nice view to old house, you see that building is also for sale for some times.
 

 

We have ordered our hot drinks and there was a nice decorated leave, so sweet :)
 

 

 

We had a good trip and nice hot drink in new cafe but on the way home we decided to buy some cakes, just because we had some sweets long ago. When choosing we decided for chocolate cake and also another with cream and strawberries.

The size of cakes were small they just look big on screen but I must say they were delicious close of our day :)
