Dugouts in Chebsara

Chebsara is a settlement in the Sheksninsky district of Vologda Oblast. There are just over a thousand inhabitants, although half a century ago there were five times more. This is a work settlement built on the Vologda–St. Petersburg railway line.

It stands on a small river Chebsara, which translates from Finno-Ugric as a dead end or corner.

Actually, there are triangular dugouts on the banks of this river.

I did not expect to see exactly my favorite type of cellars, as they look ordinary square on the map.

As always, there were many times more of them here, and what I happened to see were only remnants.

But surprisingly many of them are still in use today.

The atmosphere is simply excellent! I like it when it's comfortable, cozy and there aren't the slightest prerequisites for excitement and fear.

It's like I'm the only one here in the whole universe.

No one sees me, does not notice me, it's like I'm on that frequency that no one even thinks about paying attention to me.

Although if you think about it, who would wander in such places around midnight?

I thought that after the dugouts I would go to shoot the Chebsara yards, but they were not here.

And also...I post photos (not all of them) on social networks and people are shared by different communities.

And under the posts, people write comments like "I saw the same ones there," "there are a lot of them here."

And it's interesting. We need all the ways to find more dugouts!

It is not the process of searching for them on the map that is important to me, but the process of walking among them.

Yes, the map search is interesting on the one hand, but I searched the entire area and even the neighboring ones...and I fixed all possible places with cellars.

Sometimes I have to go exploring during the day if I'm going somewhere along the way. Because there have been cases when there is still something on the map, but in fact it is empty.

And in order to avoid empty trips, more accurate information is needed.

After all, it turned out many times later that I either made mistakes or overlooked something.

But on the other hand, new locations are not opened immediately, but gradually...exactly when it's needed.
