Chi c’è dietro a Konel Bread?

Come sempre tantissime energie positive a tutti voi!

Who is behind Konel Bread? The creator of the Japanese artisan bread that hides beautiful illustrations inside is none other than a mother from Tokyo. Thanks to Instagram, she has achieved worldwide success.

One of the many mothers who, between feedings and lullabies, launches into the production of creative bento boxes, teddy bear-shaped sweets and dozens of other imaginative recipes to keep her children happy. Konel Bread, in fact, is the fruit of the talents of a bakery mother, eager to surprise her son with something cheerful but at the same time healthy.

A fantasy world in a bread crust

Her son's drawings, together with nature, have been and still are her main source of inspiration. Between a ladybird and a panda there is no shortage of cartoon, comic or fairy tale characters, including Snoopy, the Muppets, Cookie Monster, Totoro, Mr Man or the much-loved Hello Kitty.

This varied and cheerful world Ran, aka Konel Bread, has decided to encapsulate it inside bread. The illustrations she created are literally hidden by the crust, visible only once the bread is sliced.

Only natural ingredients and a sushi-inspired technique

As with any self-respecting mother, attention to proper and healthy nutrition is fundamental to Ran. It is therefore not surprising that Konel Bread only uses natural ingredients such as red beets, cocoa and spinach for its bread art.

In terms of making the shapes, the technique he uses takes inspiration from that of the sushi masters: long portions of coloured dough are carefully placed and then rolled into a round loaf. The real difficulty lies in predicting from the outset how the dough will swell, giving a final shape to the illustration. In short, a relatively simple method that gives excellent results. The fragrant and fun bakery mother's masterpieces are on sale with a limited production run, while the rest are obviously intended for her son.

You know I love to share the articles I like the most, using @steemlinks, this one is really nice and if you are curious you can find it here PianetaPane

Sometimes I get to make bread, but the most creative thing I can do is chocolate chip loaves ahahaha! Creating a loaf of bread that impresses with every slice takes a lot of technique and passion to shape a small work of art. Who knows, in the future we might find the loaf with surprise in all bakeries!

As always, lots of positive energy to you all!

Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

I see perfectly 6 different bread samples, with very cute illustrations in the 1st image: a panda bear, a flower and an apple and in the second image I see a bread drawn with a toad's face, I really liked the bread with the toad drawn.

I feel that you wanted to share with the reader the art that can be born from a mother to give her a fun and healthy option in feeding her children, thank you for that.

What I like most is having learned today how a homemade technique can become fashionable thanks to social networks. It's an art that can be applied to what we eat and that's great.

I congratulate you for sharing a technique and for leaving the sources where this type of news can be found, thank you.

My question for you is would you like to make an illustrated bread using the Konel technique?

There are really talented people in this world… and the fact that her inspiration comes from her kids makes it more amazing. Who would have ever imagined to start making bread in such a creative manner?? I’m just dumbfounded.

long portions of coloured dough are carefully placed and then rolled into a round loaf.

This is what I’m even curious to know about.. how is it possible the color dough came out perfectly without even scattering even when it’s out from the bread oven?

Remark
In fact it's really amazing this kind of bread. I wonder how it's possible to create it and slice after slice still see the image.

🍀♥️
