E-commerce is a kind of purchasing and selling the products in the physical or digital form by using the internet so called. This is called doing online businesses,which needs a special platform where you display your products and consumers see them and make a purchase and payment called the websites e.g: Amazon, eBay, and Esty. So technology is involved in the e-commerce which is our next target to discuss.

• Website:

The first thing you need to have is the presence of a platform where you are doing to do your online business, website is the virtual place where the content in the form of images, text and videos are stored for the consumers to access.In addition to have a website you need to have a web host(web hosting companies) for your website which provide a space and special features to display for your website on the internet just like as we take a shop on rent in the mall, so is the case here.

• Domain or Domain Name:

Your also need a name for your website just like we have names for our brick and mortar business stores(Physcial stores).It comes later the @ of your email and later www in case of website. This domain name should be identical to your website name , like if your website name is Bluebell your domain name should be www.bluebell.com. Then you need domain host which will connect your domain name system with email, website and other features you desire and would charge you for that.e.g: GoDaddy, Hoverand DreamHost.

• Software(Shopping cart, payments)

Then you need the software for displaying the shopping cart for the client, to view what they just shop, and the price of the item with the taxes included(if any), along that cart also displays the visual form of your products.Then the information goes to the hosting web server(which works as a payment gateways) which directed the database towards the order manager which incase of online payment contacts to the bank through which the payment is made recently to ensure that the payment fulfills the charges of the website also,then the information is goes in reverse mode to ensure the client that their order is made successfully.

• Shipping and return

Shipping is done through various companies which along with their company label and charges supply the products to the client, users can track their location through GPS to see where their product is currently. In Pakistan TCS, leopards and Trax are companies to serve for courier(on my experience so writing their names).

• Online Marketing

Online marketing is providing awareness about your business, products and websites using the online platform which could be any social media platform like instagram, youtube, facebook, whatsapp or through email. Besides running online champaign yourself there are many others platforms which do it for yourself like;

Search engine optimization(SEO):

which ensures the traffic of most searched websites to top rank and become a trend and to grab the attention of the people.

Writing and posting blogs,posts ,videos, podcasts, ebooks and other entertainment to fill in the audience about the good side of the product you are willing to sell, and to sway(influence)the people to manifest.

Ecommerce came into the limelight during the days of pendamic when everbody was shut down in the home, so the best option to shop the things of the need become medium through the internet the online shopping. Now the ratio of the limelight is enhancing day by day as people think it easy, no need to go physically to the shop.Starting from 2.9 trillion dollar industry in 2020, it is estimated to become the industry of 4.2 trillion dollar by 2025.source
