Universal meal: pizza

 

Today I wanted to share the post of my favourite dish that I think I enjoy very much and also would be able to eat every day and it is Pizza.

When we speak about Pizza, first time I tasted it when I was 12 years old and that was the time when my older sister has seen in Internet how to do it and just decided to try.

That was summer time and we had plenty of time because of summer holidays. The parents were working and often when we are bored we decide to cook. That was another day when we wanted something new and interesting. My sister then offered to try to bake a Pizza. I asked what is Pizza, because it was first time I heard that word, she explained that this is a bread basis and one can put different toppings depending on the taste and also that everything is covered with cheese, after that everything will be baked in oven. That sounded very delicious because I love the smell and taste of fresh baked bread.

We first looked through multiple recipes and found that bread basis could be different some prefer thin one but some thick like American style, also there are people who have some more cheese around along the edge of pizza. That sounded difficult to understand how to do it that is why we stayed with simple thin bread style.

The question was toppings, here was the discussion what to add.

I love tuna fish, mushrooms, olives, onion and garlic, my sister too, that is why we decided to get those ingredients and also decided to do at least two pizzas.

I must say it was relatively easy and we were ready after 2 hours. The pizzas were baked and in about 20 minutes they were ready and once the door of oven was opened, that was delicious appetising smell. We had try few pieces for us and of course left a second one for our parents. It was a great surprise for them when they came tired from work to find home made pizza by their children. We still have a lot of fun when we gather together and when somebody asks what we want to cook everyone say home baked Pizza.
