Contest Alert || "3 days in a Desert
Hello my dear Steemians,
Desert is something very exciting, as children we were fascinated with the with endless and people -less vast area that is field with sand. There is many interesting features like:
sand dunes that often when it is windy make specific sound, that is called singing dunes
desert is cold in the nights and really hot during days
camels are only animals that can survive in desert many, many days without water and if anyone decided to go to desert then they need camels as “ships of desert”
Spending time in desert? No, I have never thought about that, because of danger that could happen in desert I prefer more safe places.
In my opinion, the most essential will be a good communication tool, I definitely will take satellite phone that is well charged. Also, before departing I would leave a message with our plan for friends or family saying where I am going and that if there is no message then they could send someone for search.
If possible I would take a car that can drive well on sand with enough fuel in extra canister for next few days. Also definitely sun cream just to prevent sun stroke.
The other thing that we would take is enough water for next few days and some food that could be easily stored like canned food or instant noodle. Water is important to prevent dehydration and some food for energy.
For such dangerous trip I definitely would take @myskye, my hubby who I can rely any time and who can do anything from anything, he is very good in surviving in difficult condition. It is important to be prepared before, he is good planner and I would be confident that we will be safe. When he was young he was in Australia and there there is also area where is hot and only sand, he that time went in adventure too with his friend in motor home that is why he had some experience what to expect. Desert does not forgive any mistakes and people can pay a big price if sometimes thinks that it is an easy game and they can easily survive.
