The Manila tamarind, pre-Latin name Pithecellobium dulce, is an exotic fruit that may be new to us. The Manila tamarind is often described as an exquisite fruit with a stick-like appearance and many colours (mainly red and white). This tree has names in different regions of the people, Manila tamarind, Madras thorn, and Ganga Imli are also commonly used names.

Manila tamarind is not a recognized fruit in Sri Lanka. This crop is not in our country because our climatic, environmental and nutritional requirements are different. But these trees grow in large numbers in countries like India, Malaysia, and Mexico. Hence, it is difficult for us to see and obtain Manila Tamarind in Sri Lanka.

Since we don't have manila tamarind in our country, I haven't used this. But those who have used Manila tamarind in foreign countries describe it as a delicious and fake fruit. It has a strange, tingly and unpalatable taste, perhaps our traditional sour-smelling fruit.

The price of Manila tamarind fruit can vary greatly depending on the region, quality, and supply of the fruit, if any. In foreign countries, this fruit costs between $3.00 - $6.00 for 1kg. If this is calculated in Sri Lanka currency, only Rs. Varies between 1000 - 2000.

Before discussing the basics, let's talk about painting tools.

We focus on the tools used in this painting and the complete set of items required. Accordingly, we are tempted to elaborate further on the drawing process.

I hope this guide will be of great help to fulfil your wishes and start a new experience.

	First, the basic shape of the Manila Tamarind around the shape was drawn in pencil. The general shape of the tumor was considered and it was shown to be round.

Second Step

	Here, with the help of a pencil, a small part was tried to make the shadow image to show the shape of the fruit.

Third Step

	After that, efforts were made to better show the 3D appearance and the 3D appearance where the inside of the fruit is visible.

Fourth Step

	Here, further work was done to show the shadows and line patterns of the leaves of the Manila Tamarind. Here the pencil was weighted and relaxed on the paper to give a good look to the Manila Tamarind and also its leaves.
