Greetings friends and welcome to my participation in this week's engagement challenge from this amiable community as we talk about peace and money, two very important aspects in man's life, but then which are you will to sacrifice for the other? Let's find out.

Are we all sacrificing peace to make money?

We humans indeed run after money, but then I don't believe everyone is sacrificing their peace for money. Yes, some people prioritize making money over maintaining peace sometimes and this leads to conflicts and problems. For example, some individuals or companies focus solely on making profits without considering the impact on others or the environment, and this creates situations where peace is sacrificed for the financial gain of certain individuals, resulting in exploitation, inequality, or even war.

However, it is still important to be reminded that not everyone chooses money over peace because there are people who support various ways to promote social justice, equality, and peaceful coexistence. Taking the side of peace over financial gain. So yes! Certain individuals may prioritize money over peace in some situations, but it would be too harsh to say that it is everyone.

Which is wiser to spend and earn or to spend after earning and saving?

I believe it is wiser for me to spend after earning and saving rather than spending before earning because when I spend before earning, I may end up in debt to settle and financial trouble, which leads to stress and difficulties in the long run.

But then, if I earn, save a portion of my earnings, and then spend what is left, I am building my financial security and stability as saving allows me to have a safety net for emergencies, invest in my future, and help me achieve my financial goals. By having some savings, I am better prepared to handle any financial challenges that may come my way.

While earning and saving before spending can be difficult for anyone in this current state of the world's economy, I still believe that by doing so, one can build a stable financial foundation and ultimately lead to greater financial security and freedom. So yes! it's always wiser to spend what you have after earning and saving, rather than spending what you have not earned.

Apart from money, what brings you peace and happiness?

As great as money is, it is okay to know that our peace and happiness are subjective to our experiences. This means that peace and happiness can mean different things to different people hence the saying "Money can't buy happiness". It is true that money brings a certain level of comfort but then it doesn't always bring peace and happiness because in certain cases it brings fear of being robbed, betrayed or worse, killed. So then, other than money what other things can bring someone peace and happiness? For me, this includes;

Family:

Having meaningful relationships with family, friends, and loved ones brings me a sense of belonging, love, and support (either emotionally or financially), and this includes even when I don't have money because family help me feel warm, appreciated and valued.

Gratitude and mindfulness:

Being grateful and mindful of what I have and where I am, be it little money or nothing at all helps me focus more on the present moment and appreciate the things I have and it brings me a sense of calm and contentment.

Purpose and passion:

Pursuing my goals in life brings me a sense of purpose and fulfilment. Because when I get to achieve even if it's just a fraction of the bigger goal, I'm more than happy because it creates joy in me that I'm doing something good.

Being Healthy:

Health as we are told is wealth, besides it's just "W" being replaced with "H". Someone can have all the money in the world but have no peace because they are not healthy. Hence, being healthy brings me peace and happiness.

Giving back:

Helping others in need around me if/when I can is a big plus to my peace and happiness as it brings me a sense of joy and purpose that in my state I could still reach out to those around me.

Personal growth:

I've never been happier than having to set and achieve my goals in life and I'm sure you feel that way too, as it brings belief into me that I can do something meaningful. Another thing that makes me happy is developing new skills and expanding my knowledge as it brings me a sense of accomplishment and personal growth.

Definitely sir, it's wiser to earn before spending because if we spend why or before earning will literally lead us to debt. In addition, as we are in the journey of the quest for money, we should also consider our health and what gives us happiness and satisfaction. Many thanks sir for sharing this pace.

Absolutely. You're spot on about the importance of earning before spending to avoid falling into debt. It's crucial to maintain a balance between financial stability and personal well-being, ensuring that we prioritize both our financial health and our overall happiness. Taking care of our finances while also focusing on what brings us joy and satisfaction is key to a fulfilling life journey. Keep up the wise approach to money management and self-care.

Saludos amigo espero estés bien estoy de acuerdo contigo los seres humanos priorizamos el dinero y no le damos importancia a que necesitamos tener paz por nuestra salud mental, ahorrar es súper importante y la familia es el pilar, un abrazo.

Hello dear @sahmie!

I really like to read Your post.You make a really good point when you say that saving money should come before spending it. It really does aid in lowering tension while developing financial security. How can you keep this plan going while managing unexpected costs?

@sahmie
You are absolutely right that people really run after money but as you said some people or companies do things that directly earn so much profit that they start to affect other people. Because of this work, the situation deteriorates and destroys the peace, there is no doubt that it is an unethical work and people destroy the peace. They continue to earn because the main reason is that in today's age money has become a compulsion for people from whom they can directly buy some essentials.
