Healthy food

 

It is often our tastes, likes and dislikes are formed in early childhood, that means everything depends what we received from our parents and grandparents and also that is time when we ate different stuff and build out our habits of eating.

If you imagine family that often orders take-away, Pizza, McDonald food and drink fizzy drinks then those people continue that when they are adults. It is never late to learn healthy eating and change your own habits.

What we understand in healthy and balanced diet?

  • Protein: our body needs protein to build muscle mass but also to build our cells for that proteins used, there are some that our body can produce but there are others that we can only take with food and that is why it is important to make sure that we have protein in our diet. Protein is in different type of meat, fish, eggs, mild products. That is why sometimes Vegans suffer from Vitamin deficiency, especially Vitamin group B cause neurological deficit, not enough Vitamin K can cause problem with blood clotting but Vitamin A deficiency could cause problem with vision.

  • Vitamins, electrolytes and trace elements: there are many different Vitamins that our body needs, there are some that we also get with food but among those ones there are many that we can get as nutritional supplements

Traditional food of different countries have different nutritional benefits. For example in countries that are at sea, they have Omega-3, vitamin B2 and vitamin D. The Mediterranean food had many healthy elements, often fresh prepared, combination of vegetables, fish. That is in my opinion the best food for me as I love fresh vegetables, salads and fish.
