Hello everyone, Greetings from literature to all of us.

This is my first post in the Teachers & Students Community, a community I think is quite good as a place to share insights and knowledge for teachers and students. Therefore, I am happy to be able to share information about these insights and information with all of you in a post that I named Encyclopedia @fantvwiki.

A place where I share insights and knowledge that I teach to my students at school, and also about the information I know from various sources such as books, television, online media, and the reality around me. Who knows this is useful for teachers to find discussion material about something basic to understand.

Theme Encyclopedia @fantvwiki In this first edition, I will discuss the information about plants that I discussed in the first semester with my students in Grade 4 with the theme of plants. Hopefully, this is useful for all users among teachers and students, as one source of reading that has educational value.

Plants as a source of life for humans

We can not deny that the existence of plants in our midst and the environment, has a very important role, there are many benefits provided by plants to life. Its important role is as a producer of oxygen for living things, as well as producing leaves, fruits, and other plant parts as a source of food and other functions that are needed by humans, animals, and of course the environment.

Other benefits of plants are certainly as prevention of natural disasters that may occur, such as roots that can absorb a lot of water so that they become a source of water reserves, other benefits can hold water so as not to cause soil damage such as landslides and floods.

Because of the importance of plants for life and the environment, we must know more about the parts contained in plants that include several parts. These parts of course we know together, such as roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and fruit. Let us recall this simplest knowledge.

Plant parts along with their basic functions

Like other creatures created by God, plants are the same as humans and animals that fall into the category of living things. Plants have major parts consisting of roots, stems, leaves, flowers and also fruit. The parts have their respective functions in their infancy, thus generating many benefits.

As an insight to recall the parts of the plant, the following information about the function of the roots stems, leaves, flowers, and fruits in plants.

a. Roots

---

Roots are parts of plants that are usually and generally located at the base of the plant, this part is mostly embedded in the soil that serves as a support and water absorber. The function of support is as a form of defense of life to continue to be able to stand upright so that it can develop properly in its infancy. The roots also serve as a water absorber, which provides benefits for plants to suck nutrients in the soil and can also store food reserves for the survival of the plant.

b. Batang

The Stem is a part of the plant that is usually visible on the surface of the soil with an upright shape of varying sizes and has important benefits for the plant itself. Its function is certainly as a place in the channel of water and other substances needed by plants, stems are also one of the places for some types of plants to store food as some other plants.

c. Leaves

Who does not know the leaves, this is a part of the plant that is very clearly visible. The green color on the leaves is most often seen in our daily environment. With a shape that is mostly separate and has thin sheets of green, leaves are also a very important part of plant growth itself. The benefits of leaves for plants are certainly a place where the process of photosynthesis occurs, a process that produces food for plants and also oxygen for humans and the environment. That is why the leaves need their existence in plants, although some types of plants do not have leaves and carry out the process of photosynthesis in other ways.

d. Flowers

Flowers are a form of modification (change or alteration) of the leaves and also stems, parts that are generally formed beautifully and become the attraction of plants from other organisms outside the plant. The shape and color are also religious, so the flowers become interesting things produced by plants. Flowers also have a function as a breeding tool for plants that produce seeds or new plants from the breeding. Although most seeds are not only in flowers, seeds are also found in fruits which are other parts of the plant. However, flowers are another beauty possessed by plants.

e. Fruit

The fruit is the last part of a plant and is the result of the growth of flowers in plants. The fruit itself serves as a storage place for food and also a place for the availability of seeds from the plant itself so that the fruit becomes a place to produce new growing seeds/seedlings of a plant through the seeds that exist in it. The location of the seed itself is wrapped by the skin and also the flesh on the fruit, so that when the time is approaching, the seeds will become buds or the forerunner of the growth of new plants will appear outside of the plant.

All forms of parts of this plant will develop naturally or deliberately, can be through outside help, for example, humans, animals, and also nature. Cultivation and the rest of the food and activities carried out by humans and animals on plants will bring new life to the plant. This is caused by the replanting of these plants by humans or the release of seeds from flowers and fruits caused by the natural results of animal consumption of these plants.

In the end, plants are one of the living ecosystems that are very influential for life and the environment, they have important parts that have their respective benefits and their respective functions. Not only that, but all parts of plants are also needed by humans and animals, so it is important to maintain the environmental ecosystem so that plants can reproduce properly.
