My view on the high cost of items in my country

Hello friends, welcome to my blog once again. It is another time to share my country's experience in this present dispensation. I have written on some of this situation, but it would be good to also hype it using the contest platform.

What is the situation in your country currently?, Has items in your country increased in price lately?

This is a moment no one in my country would forget in a hurry. A situation of hopelessness and depression. At times, many are thrown into abject poverty and penury because of the hyperinflation orchestrated by the present administration due to its inhuman policies.

The singular policy of removing fuel subsidies as well as floating the country's currency brought about the difficulties of present times. The prices not only jumped but raced to an unprecedented 300 to 500% margin, hence throwing many into poverty with observed hardship.

The cost of food items is already out of the roofs, heading to the heavens. Many no longer feed for dieting purposes but rather for survival. This situation has come.to remain as there is blatant abuse. And sabotage of remedies to alleviate this situation with the government in the forefront.

Mention 5 items in your country that have increased in price. How much was it before and how much does it cost now( it will be nice to also show the price in steem)

These are 5 samples of increased items in my country.

How are you coping with the difficulties in your country and what do you think is causing these difficulties?

Coping with the difficulties isn't a child's play any longer. When a solution is in view, there is hope. It is hopelessness when we do not know what next, and where we are heading. The economy is on a free fall with nothing in sight to caution this downtrend.

Purchasing power has drastically been hampered as one finds it a little difficult to purchase items as required. There is a sharp decline where bulk buying seems challenging this days.

The cause of this perceived difficulty has already been highlighted above. They are just two misplaced government policies that dumped over 100 million Nigerians below the poverty lines.

  1. Removal of Fuel Subsidy without due diligence and preparations for short and long-term palliatives to caution effects.

  2. Float of the nation's currency. A country that depends heavily on imports with less FX availability.

If you have an opportunity to leave your country to another country for greener pastures which country would you like to travel to and why?

My top three priority countries of destination remain the following: Canada, the US, and the UK. This may be connected to the world-class educational standards found in these countries. I have always aligned my zeal to acquire an international touch with my academics, and achieving this dream through these countries would be worth the time.

Thank you.

Greetings, I can totally understand what you're talking about cause many Nigerian even me is experiencing this hardship. Items in the country are becoming expensive and it is becoming unbearable for some, I could remember when I bought one rubber of beans for 3000 naira but now it is going up to 4200 naira and it still keep on going on a high rate because of the cost of transportation. This country is no more becoming friendly for some and I wish it could all just stop.

Have a nice day sir
