Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 55: A Day Like A Thousand Years.

Good morning my beautiful Nigerian steemians. Hope we all had a peaceful night rest. I thank God for the gift of life that some are not opportuned to have.

Thanks to the organizers of this contest for bringing up such an interesting topic which can be explained in so many ways:

RELIGIOUSLY

"A Day like a thousand years" is a biblical expression taken from the book of Psalm 90 : 4 which says"For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just passed, or like a watch in the night."
Hmmm as Christians we all know that Jesus will come again as He said when He was taken up but some group of people do not believe this.

Noah

Just like in the days of Noah when God toid Noah to build an ark to save his family from the bad generation then from flood that was to come. But since there was no rain ever, the people laughed and mocked him asking when he has ever seen rainfall.
Despite the mockery, he kept preaching to them and building the ark on dry ground believing that God will do what He has promised.
When the ark was completed, God oreded him and his family to go inside the ark with the animals God asked him to take along with him. The people were still looking and wondering what he was doing until God sent the flood and destroyed them . A thousand years that seemed like an eternity became like a day in the sight of God and He destroyed them. Just like 2 Peter 3:8, which says, "But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day."
God's long suffering is not forgetfulness as people think. This life we are living now will soon end even though activities are still going on as if God has forgotten but a day is like a thousand years in the eyes of the Lord and everything will stop as Jesus comes again .

ABRAHAM

A day seemed like an eternity when God promised to bless him with a son and he waited for 100 years before Issac was born. God remembered him no matter how long it took Just one day changed his story and he forgot the years of his waiting.

Hannah

God shut up the womb of Hannah but blessed Peninah with children and because of that she became a laughing stock and object of ridicle to Peninah.
Hannah did not give up. She kept on praying knowing that "a day is like a thousand years in the sight of the Lord" that God will remember her.
And God remembered her and gave her Samuel the prophet which we read in the Bible today but nothing is heard of Peninah and her children.

POLITICALLY

Let's look at the topic politically where contestants from different parties come out to run election.
The aim of each contestant is to win the election after spending so much during campaign and meetings . This is the period of a day looking like a thousand years because it's a period of waiting and hoping until the result is out .
The winner will be fulfilled and all the election stress forgotten and he starts to enjoy the fruit of his labour hmmm.

SOCIALLY

A day could be filled with strong emotional intensity like grief, anxiety, joy and can seem like an eternity. During this period, God is faithful to deliver as He knows what to do the next minute and that a day is like a thousand years to Him and he will change our situation around for good.

CONCLUSION

In essence, "a day like a thousand years" is a poignant reminder that our perception of time is relative and can be influenced by our experiences and emotions.

I draw the curtain here and invite @emmaprince,@inemesit and @ekemini5 to join in the contest.

Thank you very much @bossj23, I'm so sorry I don't know how to remove the pictures and source them properly.
My mentor has taught me well but I seem to forget since I'm not the fiddling phone type.
I will correct my mistakes with time.please don't be angry as it's not an intentional act
Thank you.

Ohkay Ma. We are all learning especially as a newcomer. I'll have to take the post down since it doesn't correspond with our community standards or better still, there's an edit icon on your post found close to the comment section. Click on it and delete the picture files. Get new pictures from these sites.

When choosing photos from these sites, avoid those that has to do with istock. Follow these procedures and let me know when you're done. There's a learning center group for Nigerians in steem4nigeria community. You can acquaint yourself there and get to know a lot of things or better still, you can ask me for anything you find challenging. I'll be willing to help.

Cc,
@ngoenyi

Ok ma thanks but I've tried removing and replacing them and I could succeed with just two.
I don't know if I am on the right track.
Will like to join the learning center group

You're not getting it right. The pictures still have istock labels and you didn't include links to source them. Not all pictures can be gotten from free sites as these. Your topic is biblical and pictures relative may not be found except in istock sites which aren't free.

From the above, you're not to choose pictures under this site. You'll have to either choose a picture that's similar or use original pictures captured with your camera or any other sources which can be a video or the likes. Note: Google pictures aren't allowed.

So, you'll still have to work on it again. It's part of the training and correction. Let me know when you're done
