My view on the high cost of items in my country

what is the situation in your country currently?, Has items in your country increased in price lately?

The situation of my country currently is really terrible and alarming,,, the situation is one that I cannot really describe. A lot of things are happening that are not correct and are affecting the citizens negatively, both financially, emotionally, psychology and other wise. And the government are not really making any effort to putting things right in the country.

Some of the challenges my country are facing currently includes, contant increase in the price of goods in the market, fuel scarcity, unemployment, insecurity, poverty and lot more.

Talking about the increase in price of items in my country, this is something that happens almost every day or every hour per say. You buy an item this minute, the next minute you hear that the price has increased. Inflation is really dealing with the citizens of my country.

The government seriously need to rise to their responsibilities and ensure the citizens are living a comfortable life.

Mention 5 items in your country that has increased in price. How much was it before and how much does it cost now( it will be nice to also show the price in steem)

The items that have increased price in my country is much. Infact, virtually everything has increased price in my country. But the most common ones are;

1. GAS: Previously, gas per kg was 950naira (4steem), but it has now increased to 1300naira, (5steem) per kg.
2. DETERGENT: It was initially sold at the rate of 1000naira, (4steem) but it is now sold for 1500naira, (6steem).
3. BEANS: Previously, beans was 1700naira, (7steem) per major but it has increased to 2700naira, (11steem) currently.
4. GARI: It was sold for 500naira, (2steem) per major but it has now increased to 1000naira, (4steem) per major.
5. MAGGI: Initially 1 packet of Maggi was 1000naira, (4steem) but has increased to 1300naira.

How are you coping with the difficulties in your country and what do you think is causing these difficulties?

Hmmmm, coping with the difficulties in my country is not an easy one at all.

But as a Nigerian and an African, I was brought up with the ability to be able to adapt to any situation and circumstance that I find myself in.
How I am actually coping is firstly with the little support I get from Steemit now.

Though before I joined Steemit, I was actually doing some little businesses that fetch me small income and with the support and help from my parents, siblings and friends, I am coping with the difficulties and God is really helping me as well.

The major cause of all these difficulties in my country is economic mismanagement, bad governance, insecurity, corruption etc. All these are factors contributing or causing the difficulties in my country.

If you have an opportunity to leave your country to another country for greener pastures which country will you like to travel to and why?

The country I will love to travel to is CANADA . Canada has always been and will always be my dream country.

Here are few reasons why I will like to travel to Canada:

1. The citizens of Canada, i.e Canadians are known so well for their kind and hospitable character,, so i know for sure that if I eventually travel there, i will be welcomed warmly and be treated well.

2. Accounting professionals have alot of privileges and job opportunities in Canada, and having the dream of becoming a professional accountant, I think i will do more exploit in Canada which offer us with alot of job opportunities.

3. The also have a good educational system, going there will give me the opportunity to further my education and I will be sure that I am getting my knowledge from the best source.

4. They have good security, and beautiful and wonderful places that I will love to visit. And lastly, I will love to learn their language and abit if their culture too.
