My Neighborhood Watch # 58 - Reporting Events Around us

Hello steemit greetings to all my fellow contestants in steem4Nigeria,it an excited moment to contest on this topic title My Neighborhood Watch #58 - Reporting Event Around us. We know that things are happening in our different locations where we are living,it is good and educative to share reports about events around us. I will bring my report from the Traditional Point of view, Naming a new born baby. I appreciate @xkool24 for chance he has given to all contestants.

Naming ceremony is a good and opportunity for parents to announce the names that parents chose for the child or children in the family that involve the presence of invited family members ,Friends and love Ones, The ceremony is about giving a to a new born baby in the family. Parents will make promises of commitment to the child which is taking good care for them. So I will report on the one in my location. Naming ceremony of a new born baby is a very important event in my location, it is a moment father formally announce the baby's name,l to the people.

It is a very important moment for the family that this baby comes.

In my location it was a very important moment to Mr and Mrs Patrick to give name to their first boy child,it was a great event because there was no body in the family after 7 years. They have 4 girls and they were looking for a boy child. The occasion was in a traditional way.

This was the first child that comes to the family.
How ever, invited guest were coming from a distance and close environment.

Along side women were in cooking different types of food for the event.
This new born baby create a positive effect in neighborhood, that old women were up and doing.

A lot of people came out to witness the occasion and finally the to child was named by his father Mr. Patrick. The child was named Goodnews Patrick.

To end up the report,I encourage traditional way of naming a child,it normal.
