What is Agama lizard
This is a reptile with a small head, short neck, long body and tail. There are over 4675 species of lizard.

Their Diet
Most lizards eat insects, grabbing crickets,
grasshoppers, and more with long, sticky tongues or quick bites.

Fact about lizard

  • Lizards have dry, scaly skin.
  • Lizards smell stuff with their tongues!
  • Lizards don’t have earflaps like mammals do.
  • Most lizards have eyelids, just like we do, that clean and protect their eyes when they blink.

  • Pencils
  • Colours
  • Eraser
  • Sharpener

Step 1
I started the drawing of my lizard from the head. I first sketched the head and then drew the gular fold, the mouth, the nostril, the bulging eye and the eardrum.

Step 2
In this stage, I drew the neck and the trunk. I also drew the forelimbs. On the forelimbs, I drew the five digits and their claws.

Step 3
Here, I drew the tail and the hind limbs. On the hindlimb, I drew the clawed digits. Lastly, I drew the stone on which the lizard is standing

Step 4
Here, I began the colouring of the lizard from the head. I used an orange colour to shade the entire head.

Step 5
At step 5, I shaded the bulging eye, the eardrum and the mouth using a 12B pencil

Step 6
I shaded the neck, the body and forelimbs of the lizard. I used a violet colour to draw the overlapping scales on the body. I then shaded through with a violet colour and used a 12B pencil to lightly shade over the violet colour. For the five digits on the forelimbs, I lightly use an orange colour

Step 7
Here, I shaded the tail. I also used violet colour at the upper part of the tail to draw the overlapping scales and then shaded through with the same colour. Finally, I shaded the lower part of the tail with a yellow and orange colour.

Step 8
At this last step of my drawing, I coloured the hindlimbs and the stone. I drew the scales of the hindlimbs with a violet colour and still coloured it with the same colour. I coloured the clawed limbs with orange colour and a 12B pencil. In conclusion, I coloured the stone with brown colour.
