The Diary Game: Finalizing School runs and Delivering Mushroom to a Steemian Friend.

Hello friends, kids and parents. I'm excited to be here after a little while. So my day, Monday 16th September, was a beautiful day. Usually, we wake up by 8am since the holidays, there's really no serious business for the day and no school. It was a public holiday, so school didn't resume. I woke up and performed my daily hygiene, then prepared breakfast for my family.

The day before yesterday, which was on Sunday evening, I had called a steemian friend, @okere-blessing who had booked for mushrooms, that I had some for sale. I am a mushroom farmer. She said when I was ready, the following day which was yesterday Monday, that I should call her to get it.

Immediately after our breakfast, I knew if I picked up my phone and started scrolling, I might not go out again. So I called her to know if she was around and she said yes. So, I went to my little farm to harvest the mushrooms, pack them. After that, I headed to deliver it to her. I was supposed to deliver it half way but when she didn't come out to get the mushrooms, I walked down to her business premises.

That's how I got more than I expected. We took pictures, she helped to show me a few things I needed clarification on steemit. (I love making use of opportunities to learn when I see one.) I even bought from her. She patronised me, so I had to patronise her business too. After some discussions, I returned home. My children were left alone at home.

When I returned home, I remembered that school was resuming the following day, Tuesday 17th September 2024, as Monday remember, I said was a public holiday. My daughter will be in school, but I didn't buy wool, (that's what I use to make her hair with), I was contemplating what to do for her as it will be so bad for her to resume school with tattered hair. So I remember I had a used extension, (attachment), I decided I would make something for her with the used attachment.

I didn't waste time as I took out the attachment from where I kept it. It was very rumpled. I combed and added oil to her hair and began to take out the attachment and make her hair. Since she has soft hair, the attachment was loosened at the edge, I had to use a strand of the attachment to wrap the edge to make it firm and nice. When I finished, the tail was rough, so I curled the hair using thread.

It took me so much time to do her hair because she would stop intermittently to eat biscuits or ask for bananas. Such that I forgot to take some pictures because I needed to plead with her to sit, at some point she was standing to do the hair, and she slept in the process too. After so much stress, we finished doing the hair.

How stressful doing children's hair can be. My joy was that I made a very cute hair from used hair extension to a fabulous hair.

Do you know what? After giving me so much stress, she enjoyed her hair, such that she showed her classmates her hair today in school. She was so happy, confident and full of smiles, knowing she was so beautiful.

And today is her first day wearing school uniform. She has been in school since she was 6 months old but without a uniform. Today marks her very first day as a registered pupil at the school. Her joy knew no bounds. As a parent, I'm excited that she's begun her first step academically. I pray that the almighty God continue to bless and keep her.
