Keeping our immune system strong and healthy is always a priority, especially these days. . .
My favourite way, to maintain my health, is to drink fire cider on a daily basis.
Its easy to make, inexpensive, and has antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal properties.

So, how do we make fire cider?

To start, get yourself a bottle of good quality, organic Apple Cider Vinegar (with the Mother). You can also make your own apple cider vinegar, if you feel drawn to, but I usually just purchase a big bottle from a local independent health food store.

Using a clean bottle or a jar (whatever you prefer, the only importance is, that it closes well), you start filling it up with all the 'goodness',
I usually use:

  • ginger
  • garlic cloves
  • turmeric
  • onion
  • horseradish
  • chilli peppers
  • rosemary
  • black pepper
  • star anise
  • cinnamon sticks
  • cloves

All the ingredients are fresh, preferably organic.
Chop and slice them into your empty bottle or jar, and once you filled it, pour the apple cider vinegar into the jar.
Close tightly, and let in brew for 4 to 6 weeks.

Once its ready, strain, and keep it in a bottle in a dry , dark place.

I usually have about a tablespoon of it in my water first thing in the morning, but when I feel I need some extra, I just keep adding it to my water throughout the day.
