Don’t get me wrong – neither Pentax nor Fujifilm has a monopoly to idiotic ideas. But Leica seems to have a strong urge to lead in everything…

I really love Pentax, still have one of those old film beauties, Pentax Spotmatic SPII (1971-1976) heavily beaten but still working. When you have such a classic, you can’t feel anything but disgust over the idea of Pentax 17… It is a roadkill, and you can call that a compliment…

And then my beloved Fujifilm started making unbelievable flops (yes, we will return to X-T50). Not even a major propaganda hype could save Fujifilm X-Pro3 from an obvious disaster. It’s quick demise was logical, since nobody really needs idiotic “hidden LCD”. It was just like they wanted to destroy their own reputation after the absolutely ideal concept of X-T4 model:

But today, a leader in the most overrated camera gear on this planet, hit the new peak of design idiocy – again!

Yes, again, because the already had one M10 model with the same gimmick. I do not doubt it was a real hot seller, I just never saw how many id… I mean buyers it gathered.

So, Germany is deindustrialised, its auto industry is already dead, and now a camera industry is at its death bed. What will make its funeral really funny? A price, of course…

“The Leica M11-D will be available globally at all Leica Stores, the Leica Online Store, and authorized dealers starting now. The retail price will be €9,350.00 including VAT.”

Just imagine, they would like to take yours €9,350.00 for this kind of nonsense! And they have generously charged this ‘minimalism’ just €90 MORE than fully functional Leica M11 which has live view and can be used even for macro work. Incredible!

Yes, you will be laughing all the way in your search for a reasonable camera designer, while knowing that you easily saved €9,350.00 by just not falling for an idiotic hype!
