Decentralized alternative to Youtube?

in #google7 years ago

Youtube has been progressing in their censorship of media and has tested taking down prominent channels such as Jordan Peterson and Mark Dice. The reactions from supporters have pressured Google to bring them back for now. Furthermore, Google has catastrophically demonetized content creators that think outside their echo chamber perspective. Its seems that no one speaking truth is safe from their thuggery. The culmination of this has been seen with the #googlemanifesto and firing of James Damore for calling out echo chamber culture at Google. http://gizmodo.com/exclusive-heres-the-full-10-page-anti-diversity-screed-1797564320

There is a solution in site: The decentralization of applications, and one of the first to compete with Youtube is called LBRY: https://lbry.io/

What this site does is let users post videos to a blockchain making them censorship resistant and reward content creators and viewers with cryptocurrency. This new process should bring a much higher revenue percentage to content creators then Youtube and promote free speech.

This is America, we were founded on free speech, freedom of religion, and liberty. We must preserve these values and strengthen them.

Lord willing we'll make this country even better.

God bless America
