You know @galberto there are really many ways to cultivate food plants and the space for it can never be a factor because with such small spaces we can make use of it to grow some vegetables and fruits.
I also had the idea of making a hanging garden in our backyard using some water bottles and in that way the vegetables are off the ground and hanging cleanly up the fence.
Sadly I can just make some ideas in my mind but cannot do them physically.
